I let them veg for two weeks in their final containers before flipping them to flower on 4/20, roughly 8wks from sprout. Here’s a group shot from the big day 1 of flower:
And here’s the ladies, from left to right we have #7 - #8 - #9 in front and #10 - #11 in back or, if looking at them left to right, it’s #7 - #10 - #8 - #11 - #9:
They ended up looking pretty good. It’s not going to be an even canopy, but we’ll do our best. I had supercropped the big #9 twice in veg to try to slow her down, and topped her once, but she basically ignored it. I like the spirited fillies.
What you can’t see is a 5 alarm gnat infestation just starting. I got some Coast of Maine Lobster Compost for the dirt because it was the only “decent” compost available at the time, and I guess it was full of gnat larvae as you’ll see in future flower updates. From now on I’ll water in with gnatrol when using a new brand of compost or EWC like that. Lesson learned.
i’ve had fungus gnats for about a year. right when i think i’ve got them dead and gone they pop up with a huge flush of them. i’ve got 4" (10cm) of rice hulls on both my beds. one has none the other has what i call, “a plague of gnats.”
I always deal with gnats and living soil. They just love all that decomposing matter. Rove beetles, soil mites, and nematodes usually keep them in check.
Amen and thank you all for joining in! Let’s bring the good vibes, share the love with everyone as Purple-N-Hairy suggested! Not for me, but for the community! I think it’d be cool to see everyone who posts here like every post on this thread, every single one, to build a pleiadian lovenest that no evil can penetrate! We should be using all our likes every day, and encourage the admins here to increase the limit!
Yeah I’m really curious if any of the unseeded plants will carry this forward. They’re all moving towards a sensi run right now!
That’d be cool. I guess we’ll see in the sensi run. When did you grow the Devil’s HP? Got a link or some pics? Thanks for all the extra bodhi quotes about this one! I had seen those on Breedbay.
Glad to hear it! Come one, come all! The more the merrier! (hopefully there’s enough seeds…lol)
It’s funny you mention that. It was praying high to the heavens for the end of veg and the first several weeks of flower, but then got funky on me. We’ll see how she turns out unseeded. More and more, I want the unique slice, not the same thing everybody else wants. @Jamescoldflame@Syn I’ve always moved to the beat of my own drum, so it just makes sense.
Looks like there’s spots on the overflow list, as @chronix said!
@hawkman@MidwestMover @LemonadeJoe just recently increased the number of people that can be tagged per post to help accommodate these Seed Run signups. Thanks, Joe! As for some of the other comments, please only sign up for yourself and only on one list. I don’t think we should be adding other users. This sort of thing lends itself to people signing up extra accounts to the site, trying to be greedy or trolly. Not trying to accuse you or saying that’s what you’re doing, but let’s keep it so each person sign up only for themselves. I thought this was implied that you only sign up for yourself, but I’m sorry I assumed. If your friend can’t sign up, then sign up yourself and share some of your seeds with them!
I try to make the most seeds I can in the space I have. It’s only one 4x4 tent, so there are physical limits. And sometimes some plants don’t make many seeds. However, it’s always my intent to maintain maximum genetic potential while also making the most seeds. As such, I try to never pollinate before day 21 from flip, as that week 4 is prime time for pistil production.
I mentioned before, but thanks to the eagle eyed folks keeping tabs on the signup list. I want to make sure there’s enough for everybody, but I also want to say to the new and/or shy members that you’re absolutely welcome once you’ve built a little trust here at the site. It takes almost no time or effort, just a few posts, likes (please use all of your likes every day to show your love to other humans and the universe at large), and maybe a pic or two spread over a few weeks’ time. Once you get to “member” which is level 2 here, you’re free to sign up to these threads. Just please make sure to follow the rules, and maybe even to go above and beyond expectations to show your true colors. Hopefully of the whole !
Hey brother, sorry about that. That was me. I came in late and signed up way down the list but noticed later that my name was already on the first list. I was worried that I had done it but had no memory of it. Getting older and already having a few short term memory episodes, this sort of freaked me out at first, lol.
Another member who knew I would have been there if possible, signed me up. First time that’s happened to me. I’m happy moving my name back down to the overflow list, just let me know.
Thanks for doing these seeds. This must be the most rare strain we’ve done for a preservation run, I think. At least since I’ve been here. Hopefully @bodhi will pop in later on and give his thoughts.
Have a great trip, man, where ever you’re going! peace
how do I get in on the re stock of Pura Vida seeds…I tried looking on Sebrings site, but that site I never know if I’m using right, but I didn’t see it.
I think everyone that missed out on the Pura Vida run wants some of these seeds.
I think sebring will probably have the pv f2 available in this fall box.
Back to the regularly scheduled programming, here we are at 2 full weeks from flip, day 14F. Things are moving in all the right directions, and the plants look happy and healthy. It’s a full tent in there with all 4 males + 5 females + 2 TKI keepers…
Soon I’ll move the guys out of the tent and give the ladies room to spread out. Speaking of the guys, here they are, all 4 packed into a little 30x20 tote, 2 per 5gal of soil in a plastic bag. These are males #1 and #5 in front:
And these are males #6 and #2 in front of this shot. #6 is the 2nd tallest but also the floppiest stemmed, reminds me of the female #7 with fatter smaller leaves, really branchy but might need support. That’s not the worst thing in the world.
Here’s the females all in the same lineup as before - #7 - #10(back) - #8 - #11(back) - #9. Everything’s a really nice shade of green and starting to get skunky smelling.
Sorry for the interruption. Been out of town for over a week (not vacation), can’t wait to get home, hope the plants and clones are still alive when I get back… I transplanted and watered extra before leaving, so we’ll see. The rest of the pics are all at home, so it’ll be a few days before I can post the next couple updates.
Jeez man, these plants are the picture of health. Looks like you do a better job growing when you’re not even in the house than I do when I’m right on top of everything . Exciting to hear that the smells are really developing for you. That’s always my favorite time in a grow cycle, that’s when cracking the tent every morning gets really exciting, like “what are we gonna have this morning”
