I wanted to put up a strain Iām currently growing to see if it would qualify for a coop run. Iāve enjoyed the coop runs here a lot and Iām hoping I can give back.
The strain I have is Ethos Punchline bx1 in regular seed. The feminized bx2 version is available for sale but the regulars were only offered as freebies in early 2021 and were later available to Ethos multi-pass teir 1 members only(from my understanding that means the first people to buy the multi-pass)
I first got this strain as 5 freebies from seeds here now and found an awesome female that smelled like sweet cherries but unfortunately I didnāt get a male and the other female also smelled like pine which I didnāt really like so she was culled.
About a year or so later (while still holding this cut) I was lucky enough to find someone with a teir 1 multi-pass who was willing to trade me 10 punchline bx1 regs so I could find a male.
I germinated the 10 seeds and got 8 sprouts that became 5 males and 3 females. Iāve already done an open pollination with the 3 females and Iāve collected a mix of pollen to use later on my original cut.
An open pollination wasnāt originally my intention here but I started the tent flowering and it just kind of turned out that way. So Iām going to have a small mountain of seeds and Iād like to share with the community if it works out. Thanks!

Post whatever you have please. Normally we want to verify seed sources and have runs completed here where people can follow them. Approving runs as a co-op after completion is not really the way its done so itās in your best interests to provide as much info as you can.

@DougDawson: Coop requestā¦ I just completed making Chernobyl F2 seeds in an open pollination (four males, two females). I have atleast 2,500 seeds. The grow is documented here: (complete) BCC's Chernobyl F2 Project
Chernobyl is, of course, a classic strain from TGA created by crossing Bloodwreck with Jack The Ripper. TGA is long gone as is Subcool (RIP). TGA ended when Subcool and MzJill seperated and their house burned down in a wildfire, destroying all of their plants and a huge cache of seeds. Subcool often spoke fondly of his days on the original OG forum, so there is a personal connection. Chernobyl was bred by Dioxide, who was a partner in TGA at the time. He used a male from Subcool.
MzJill sells some old TGA strains, but not Chernobyl. A handful of sites still claim to have Chernobyl seeds, but they are most likely either very old, fakes, or F2s. I see a couple of people selling S1s. Badger, who briefly did breeding for Subcool, now has Badgerās Batch and offers Chernobyl ($110 for 10!). He would have had access to the Chernobyl mom/dad, but so much time has passed since they were created in 2012 (plus the fire), so who really knows? My seeds were purchased in 2013, so they almost certainly were created using the original parents.

So as for my seeds:
Hereās my original freebie pack and it was an actually from North Atlantic seed co and not seedsherenow like I thought earlier. The was august 2021 after looking at my emails. I got 3 of 5 to germinate and had the seedlings sex tested at the now defunct delta leaf labs. I had two females and one male but the male never grew and died after a few days. I flowered both females and kept one
I still have the one cut from this pack around and Iāve flowered her many times. Easy to grow, takes defoliation well, and she finishes around 65 days in my experience. I donāt put too much stock in test results but when I had my first run tested it was approximately 25% total cannabinoids which is exactly what ethos advertises for the fem version of these seeds so I thought that was interesting. I didnāt include this cut in the open pollination but I have some pollen saved and can include those seeds too.
So I was really in love with the sweet cherry smells of this plant. Itās a very relaxed high that isnāt sedative but will make you forget what youāre doing while youāre doing it. The sweetness comes through in the flavor of the smoke.
Late last year I met a member here who was willing to trade me a 10 pack from their multipass membership. They havenāt been active for a few weeks but theyāre in good standing with the community. Iāve reached out to them a few weeks ago about this and just havenāt heard back. Hoping theyāre just stuck in trim jail or something.
I didnāt get a breeders pack with them but from what Iāve seen of the multipass membership they just get a bunch of tubes like this. From what Iāve found on Reddit it looks like they were included in the multipass box in the summer of 2022 and were only given to the highest tier members. Reddit - Dive into anything
They got my standard scuff with sandpaper and a 36 hour soak in 1% peroxide. Then they went into rapid rooters, 9 sprouted but one damped off leaving me with eight.
Then they spent a couple weeks in cups before being transplanted into 2 gallon cloth pots.
Fast forward a few weeks and I isolated them in their own tent and flipped them to flower.
I flipped 30 days ago and hereās a closeup of a bud in punchline #1(the triploid from the earlier pics). She smells more strongly of sweet cherries than the cut Iāve been holding by a lot!
I removed the males yesterday (4/18) and even they smelled like sweet ripe cherries so Iām really excited for these seeds!

Only the feminized version is for sale. I thought that maybe since these are regs and were never released the community might be interested but I did think this could be a point of contention.
