Sept 2023, Landrace / Heirloom Challenge

Man thats a bummer! There’s always next time. And next time you’re going to find that .01% keeper/mother. :face_with_monocle: :100:

I assume the Oaxaca is the quickest of the lot? Glad to hear it’s throwing off some smells.

Nice to see everything happy in there. Bhadra especially just happy as could be.

What’s the total height right now? Where are your lights relative to the bottom of the tent?

You’re actually giving me some hope I could pull one of these off in my little setup.

Gorgeous! Squirrel Tail and Bhadra filling in nicely. Congo…well, she’s pretty sparse. Still love her needle leaves though.

Any smells coming through yet on any of them?

Really hoping you get some fantastically unique effects from all of these.

UV-C bulb was employed last nite for 30 minutes to help kill any WPM in the tent.
In 2 weeks time it will be repeated.

100% no eye contact made
big phlizon was dimmed
tent exhaust s/d
any vent was closed
internal fans left running

Hello, I use an ozone generator to clean the grow tent (with the plants outside). I used it intensively to disinfect reused mulch from plants with mite and fungal problems, it eliminated the problem. Luck!

Thanks @defharo, nice to know the extent of a tools applications.
I’m in to see the plants tonight. Soil amending etc… pulling a few Oaxacan seeds and wpm report to follow

Thanks I appreciate the help.

ozone won’t kill the plants?

Notice that I noted “with the plants out.” This operation is only done at the beginning of the growing season to disinfect the growing tent. In the case of the infected mulch I had it isolated with ozone.

Morning @splinter7

I was not warned or cautioned about removing the plants from the tent.

With only a 30 minute application, I’m sure that is a targetable, survivable exposure. Goal is to surround the wpm particles with the ozone gas as produced, in a closed and circulating tent.

They (wpm) can be in Fan blades, in crevasses etc., and the gas formed by UV-C actually must surround each particle in the tent.

That was how this procedure was explained to me.

Good morning.
i did it recently as i have a tent slightly exposed to ambient conditions and it goes to 100% humidity a few times a year. I ran it for an hour, but i got all forms of life i cared about very far from being exposed. It took some extra precautions so as not to expose it to myself when trying to evacuate the tent/area with the tent in it. i had exhaust fans and a lot of air exchange. i can’t tell how dangerous it is…just gong recommendations. Let us know if it did anything to the plants it would be much more useful if the plants could survive, but not the pm.

The mildew is only on the plants and fallen leaf bits. It’s definitely NOT on the fan blades.

Morning Joe, I guess my comment was more aimed at, “ I’m cleaning EVERYTHING and every surface in the Tent “

Ozone gas-production takes care of that with circulation

Yes, I have had the ozone generator with plants in a room for a few days, the generator activated for 10 minutes every 3 hours, the plants were not affected, but as a precaution and to safeguard the microbiology of the substrate I prefer not to do it anymore.

A growing-string of inconsistencies has led to me Yanking the plants back under my own roof.

Thats all I am saying on the matter but most significantly, continually finding the Humidifier alarming and empty is not gonna have me finish a grow under that system.

Yesterday was the 6th-time I’d found it empty and needy since Oct. It’s been discussed previously and now it’s simply; we’re done

soundtrack sounds-like Beep-beep. Beep-beep. Beep-beep ~

That’s a bummer.

Where did you put it I thought you didn’t have the height for it which is why it was somewhere else else?

Hope everything is going OK outside of this grow/tent situation.

Stretch was not the Evil entity I had feared, or been warned-of.

big picture; HST could have waited a bit… I’ll let Tall happen the next-time, Before I take action

Still have 6’3” downstairs. Didn’t want to chop 7” off the new MarsHydro.

It’s encouraging to me the manageable height, may be possible to try some of these wild things in my little tent.
