I Love it , someone who knows phenotypes, strains. Thanks for precious technicals @MissinBissin you have a glorious collection , thanks For Sharing y,all OGers…
OverGrow The World with Heirlooms ,an Landraces …carry on love is coming, Peace
@calman1955 FiNaLlY running this TZAR auto, its been since 2022 when I ran the photo-period, outside. No expectations but if the autos are even close to how good the photo-period was, its a win.
Back to the Jr. Squirrel Tail, I’m game and capable of taking it apart for you. If you have any favourite videos… let me know (ahem cannabis related lol ) AND I’ve never prepared a plant’s crown … separate-subject; If anybody can help me get my around that 3d challenge, I’d love to talk. See what I can find.
in the meantime, She’s growing like fricking Mad right this second…
fresh pics 2nite. (front 2nd from the right)
The Mom on the right, had already been folded-over by this stage and never stood a chance to be this tall.
Big leaves are Tucked out of the way as the Bomba grows past 45 cm (10cm of growth in 4 days)
Tent was shuffled a bit as the plants grow Taller
On the RTB#1 plant, a product from #promix, their #CONNECT mycchorizal Innoculant, was painted / poured onto the Root-Ball. Here now 2 weeks later the size difference is massive between plants #1 & #2. Pictures tonight; here is the application, Jan 17th
A few years back when I had a grand old organic garden 35 feet long 4 feet deep ,with Forty Green
LOGS at the bottom , 7 years 10 percent biochar compost 6 cubic yards. 5 feet wide ,the first cover crop Sun Hemp , the largest nitrogen fixing bean
,roots deter root not nematodes.
Since then I had three Hernia operations thanks Good I survived… @MissinBissin , I’m now moved on not my choice. We have field of home grown…
Peace…
Here are the two RTB plants below. They are the Same age except the right one had CONNECT spread on the rootball and into the substrate at Transplant, 2 weeks ago
*Each of these plants has Also been receiving Foliar BBP applications, weekly. #5 application is tonight
Awesome! I’d be taking a sample off the Squirrel Tail just to sate my curiosity at this point.
That Pro-Mix CONNECT is pricey stuff, it doesn’t seem to be readily available yet either. Down here anyway. Definately showing some results there.
I like the application method. Ensures good contact and coverage. Has me thinking about applying some of the other types the same manner. Painting it on literally like paint is brilliant.
I’ve had a brain wave about the 50/50 application I used @FieldEffect
I say 50/50 because half of the material (Connect innoculant) Fell off of the Root-Ball into the substrate bag, when I painted or Smoothed it on with Spatula and Brush
I’ve begun using the small cloth, non-woven bags for Seedlings and then simply dropping them into Chimney applications; gently planting the bags in the surface of the next Pot.
Ie zero stress on the root systems
The Plan NOW, is to simply Paint / SLATHER the innoculant, all over the bags Exterior, and then simply Plant it in the new medium. Roots will grow towards and through it quickly I’m sure !!!
If you want to inoculate mycorrhizae, go to a pine forest, dig under the leaves and collect soil, if the soil is around the roots it is better, take that soil to your pot, you can use it for substrate mixtures, or in a pot put it on the top of the substrate and cover it with dry organic matter
I don’t know if the technique comes from Korea, this one that I explain is the most basic technique, I handle the capture and propagation of mountain microorganisms quite a bit and the pine forest is the species that contains the most mycorrhizae.
I hear you. In the method called KNF (Korean Natural Farming) there is a practice of collecting wild indigenous fungal and microbial populations by placing a basket of half cooked rice in undisturbed forest soil. The same principle you propose, except in KNF the rice is mixed with sugar in order to have an additive that can be used many times to add life to the soil.
Thank You Gentlemen for the info on Real-World technology. Love it and once again, it makes perfect sense.
I appreciate the info @defharo on the quicker reaction times found in Pine stands. January / Feruary are difficult, but when it comes soil-prep time for OG row… @HeadyBearAdventures I’ll look into the KNF. merci !
