Check something on your phone with Facebook’s new changes. Settings > Off-Facebook Activity

Tell me if any growing sites are tracking and selling your data. This one is good

All the things from 1984 turned out to be real, just more benign.

You’re always being watched, but mostly just to sell you shit.

I was promised a bleak dystopia and I got a bunch of weirdly accurate targeted ads instead.

They are probably selling to more than Facebook, but it’s a good way to find the sites that are doing it.

Say a agency sets up a shell corporation, just food for thought.

Oh guaranteed. If the government wants to see what you’re doing, they will. Nothing will stop them.

But if the government is watching a person specifically, that person has bigger problems.

True, but they probably don’t need a warrant to use this info in court.

For the most part: if you are not paying for the product, you are the product.

I use a program called ‘Little Snitch’ - It tells you every time your computer tries to make an outgoing connection - and to what server. Scary is a severe understatement.
