Really glad to hear that dude! By soaking, do you mean germinating? If so, that was fast, and count me in for the show! I think that cross might put out some real frost queens. Feel free to share any and all progress here.

Thank the post! I let them do the legwork hahaha. Appreciate you letting me know they landed.

I’ve done it, but honestly I hate handling germinated seedlings. I’m in my Keep-It-Simple-Stupid growing era. I had more issues with damping off or not breaking soil when I did all that. Now I just pop a seed into a plug and put it in my clone dome. I used to make sure they were “right-side up” but don’t even do that anymore… They find their way. It works like 99% of the time and I like it because the only step is: Put seed into hole. Here’s six I sprouted last week. This is 48-72 hours after putting them into the plugs.

Then from there straight into solos something similar in size

Now if someone gave me some 30 year old seeds that had been sitting in a sock drawer I would definitely add more steps to ensure germination.

Landed bud.
Kind of amazed that it made it too!
This is exactly how I recieved this letter, and by far the worst I’ve seen…

Rollers popped that one puck right out of the pack. Idk how it remained in the envelope. (Or how many postal employees put it back in…)

Best not waste your money on Non-machinable stamps. :grimacing:

Thanks for the gifts brotha!

Dude… You’re the second person stateside that has had this happen. They are throwing them through the rollers and it’s popping the pucks through the packaging. I’m walking these into the post office and making them red-stamp it N-M and I watch them put it in the proper basket. I’m blown away they handled that envelope with one side blown open and didn’t give it any courtesy tape… Is there crushed seeds in there as well? If so, I’d like to send a replacement pack…

The last batch I sent out I put packing tape on the sides of the envelopes to prevent this from happening again.

Both sides!

Yeah I tape up the corners a bit. Not whole edges. Might be rethinking that.
I’ll check the seeds for damages a little later.
Honestly didnt even look. I’d expect that they are fine though.

Crazy thing is, we’re not that far apart.

@blowdout2269 One of the workers there barely stamps it and it leave’s a ghost of the stamp and it irks me every time. Does it look like someone barely stamped it with the red stamp? If so I’m gonna walk him through how to use an ink stamp next time I get into his line.

I was gonna say…
I’ve found Non-machinable stamps worthless unless you actually hand the letter to a postal employee. But if you did that, then this lazy mofo just put it in the wrong bin.

And yes, garbage.

IT WAS HIM… Dude he freaking just lazily slaps the stamp down and doesn’t even look to see if it stamped. Thanks for the photos, I’ll bring that in and explain the issue. That being said…

I’ll go freakin stamp happy myself. Both sides hahah.

Good to know those plastic coin cases hold up to the post office machines. Atleast the images posted earler seem to have no cracks in them.

Yeah, but if they blow out the sides of my envelope and the puck falls out that is worst case scenario. Pretty irked that I take all the steps and pay the extra coin and it still get’s mangled. Pucks sure are nice for peace of mind though.

Just checked.
Seeds appear intact. I might move them to my cryotubes later today. So I’ll lyk for sure 100% then.

When I first bought those I took a hammer and just let the force of its own weight swing down from probably 6-8inhces above. Cracked the puck but held together still.

After my little test I decided keep them mostly for myself and used padded packaging from Amazon. Paying the usual $5.45 with tracking gave me peace knowing the post offices fuckery shouldnt be an issue.

If you have a moment, do you mind sharing a link to the padded mailers you got on Amazon? I’d love to stock up for future trades. The post office sells them but they cost a few bucks apiece

Yeah, but when sending out hundreds of packs, bubble mailers are not realistic.

I still use pucks stateside. I like using 3d printed pucks. But will almost always use flips for international.

Bottom line:
Good old trusty coin flip, hose washer, and a dab of foam or cotton. It’s never let me down.
