Spillz907 grow diary 2024

It’s doing so good, awesome genetics man. So far, the most trichones out of all the plants in the tent I can’t wait to grow it again with proper veg time. I didn’t get to grab a clone off of it because I haven’t set my veg tent up yet @sober

@99PerCent hey man, if you’re out there, I know this is a longshot, but about seven years ago you sent me a pack labeled XJ medley. I’m assuming it was a batch of random XJ crosses but I was just wondering if you remembered. I’m growing one out right now, looks sativa leaning with skinny leaves

It’s been too long brother. Enjoy.

Well, I just wrapped up week three of flower. Here’s what the tent looks like now. I lost sourdough Kush so the left side of my tent looks kind of weird

Any suggestions at this point, should I start defoliating or anything? I’ve already trimmed quite a bit toward the bottom of the plants… The right side is getting pretty thick with leaves… Should I just sort of let them be and let them do their thing?

I’ve been easing the nutrients into flower… Just gave them a water flush last water and going full flower nutes here on out… no more nitrogen for the most part, seems kind of scary.

Looks really nice :+1:
Great job

If you defoliate? Don’t go crazy and strip the plant down too much

You want to turn the energy in to bud not leaf

I only defoliate weeks 1&3 after flip
And minimum after that ( if it blocks light or air it’s got to go lol )

I try to have the majority of the pruning under side and weak branches removed by week 2 of flip
This helps to focus the plants energy towards building buds ( bigger and better not little bits )

But what works for me is one thing

Just my .02

Had to chop star dawg down, unfortunately. She was doing so well, but hermied

Cooking her up now.

That’s pretty much the approach I took. I also like to leave some leaves because you are taking nutrients off the plant. The mobile nutrients like calcium and magnesium, I think… the plant can pull up and use still so I like to leave a little bit down there.

But I’ll cut off most all of the bud sites that are in shade.

I’ve lost two of my main plants now to herm …, so took a little bit of a hit but still going strong :green_heart:

The tent was pretty damn crowded to be honest… And I just added a second veg tent so now I can clone and all that fun stuff :raised_hands:

Do you think this is too close to the light? It’s at 75%.

Those stocks stretch so much. I don’t wanna lift the lights up because everything else is so much lower.

Don’t see any real difference between those ones and the ones that are lower looks wise, like signs of burning or anything
… leaves are actually curling in a tiny bit

Am I right to think that’s a good sacrifice in order for the lights to hit the lower part to the plant or is there a better way to go about this like raising them up and setting everything to 100%?

Doesn’t look close to me.

Have you tried super cropping?
It will increase yield
By basically pinching and twisting at the same time the taller main will bend to expose the lower bud sites

Be careful if you try

Rip. That’s always a bummer but now you have a lot more space!
For the plant that is standing lower you can prop it up with something to be of equal height of the others while raising the lights.
