What do we think went wrong

Input fellas input …
I wanna learn lol .
I ended up dropping 2 more fog dog seeds I’m going to go ahead and try another reversal! Only collecting the pollen at first and then using the 2 remaining seeds to hopefully make more

Thoughts on multiple reversals in one tent ?

Alright two questions.

  1. Did you make your own STS or did you buy pre-made STS?
  2. How often did you spray?

Made my own spray I sprayed till multiple pollen sacks formed I’d say 3-4 times used a whole 600 ml sprayers worth …
Two questions…what coulda caused the pollen to be white ?
Why the lack of pollen?

What was your STS mixture ratio?

Can you also go into a little more detail about when you sprayed?

.8 gs of silver nitrate and 5 gs of silver thiosulafate mixed in separate jars then diluted with 500 ml of distilled water per a and b …Had a trusted member help me in the mixing stage
I sprayed 3 times three days in between each spray then one more time five days after

Not going to knock on the person who gave you the STS recipe, but the recipe I got from Sebring is a little different. I think your problem lies in the mixture and the application of your STS. Here is my recipe and application procedure.
1.6 grams silver nitrate stirred into 500ml distilled water
6.32 grams sodium thiosulfate stirred into 500ml distilled water
This will make about a liter of solution, I do a 1/4 batch of this to do a plant or two.
Mix silver nitrate solution into sodium thiosulfate solution while stirring rapidly. Do not use metal mixing bowls or whisks. The metal will react with the solution that is not helpful.
When you apply this on an auto, start spraying when the first set of true leafs form. Spray every 3 days for 14 days, then spray again after waiting 14 days and wait another 14 days to spray one last time.

So once it’s mixed it will keep for the 28 or so days your spraying?

Yes it will be stable for that time. Just only make enough solution to do the plants you have. Or else you will have a lot of solution that will go into the garbage. Also remember that STS degrades from UV light.

I’ve asked this before, more than once, but never got an answer: Sebring’s written instructions call for double the amounts in his video, which you also posted; which one is correct, and why does he give different directions using different amounts?

Also, those Sodium Thiosulfate numbers are assuming anhydrous. @Rabeats2093 is using penthydrate. So, he would be using 4.96g or 9.92, depending on which of Sebring’s instructions he uses.

I’ve always used the numbers from the video, and the plants have reversed every time. The only time I didn’t get viable pollen was an ABC reversal on my first attempt. The second attempt was successful.

I’m gonna do it the same as before just more spraying at a younger age …
The white pollen is still what gets me… rh was at 45

So I shall go forward using the same mixing ratio as before ?
I mean it deff reversed it… maybe it needed more spray applications to push it through to the pollen release ?

Some strains don’t reverse well. Keep moving forward!!

If you still have stock solution, maybe try to mix it 1 to 5 instead of 1 to 9. That would give a concentration closer to Sebrings written instructions.
(Ex. 10 ml A, 10 ml B in 100 ml distilled water, but mix A and B first).

Then maybe try the protocol above that @darkillusion posted.

Different batch size or he has refined the recipe he uses. I only like to post the vids as a instructional guide. I know I use the written instruction he gave me when I bought some STS chemicals from him a while back.

I know the first plant I reversed, I was spraying that auto down like no tomorrow.

Sometimes pollen can be white, or it could be that the pollen was not fully formed.

If you got the plant to reverse, it just might need more applications.

That is very true.

I know it worked for me and other people that have tried it. But everyone is different and I do not want to force anyone to try a method they are not comfortable with.

Still mixing 500 ml of distilled water per solution?

I saved the whole plant I’m going to dry the pods out and see what happens on a test subject .probably will be a drunken fog dog !
