Up potted the seedlings. They are now filling up the 2x4 tent.
I’ve set up my new 4x8 tent. Man, 4 times the size of the 2x4 makes a huge difference. Really happy with it. Now I can really start doing stuff

Filling the tent up quickly. Interesting distinctive trait is the stem rub smell. Only 5 of them stand out in some sort of fruitiness. They have similar vigour. Differences in node length and length of secondary growth. I’ll have to wait till flower to see more clear differences to chose from I guess.
What are your selection criteria when going through a bunch of seeds?

It depends what your trying to do with them. If your just looking for a good mother to grow repeatedly, you’d go by how much you enjoy the finished product of each cultivar. Then weight that against rate of veg and ease of cloning. Is it sexual stable? Does the yield justify the time it takes to get finished ? Is it so good, you don’t care about yield? The more you know what you like, the easier it is to select in that direction.

Yes! That’s my line of thinking too. But, I don’t have too much experience growing indoors with many varieties. So it’s rather difficult to compare.
That’s why I am asking, what are your first selection criteria for a small scale pheno hunt when you’re getting down from 30 plants to maybe 5 final parent plants?

Since this probably is a semi-auto strain I was thinking that I could maybe select the earliest ones by gradually reducing the number of hours of lights on in the tent mimicking daylength at 51N end of june, early july. So today I set the timer to 16/8. Every two days I will shorten with 15 minutes. I will keep the ones that show flowers first. I have no idea if this is sound practice but we’ll see!

So, a final selection of 2 males and 2 females. Up-potted once again. I’m not sure whether they started flowering already because of their semi-auto lineage or because of getting root bound.
I made the selection firstly based on stem rub smell and secondly on growth structure. Strangely all females were lanky and males were short. I expected the other way around.
12/12 as of today.

After spraying the seeded plants with water for two days I felt it was safe to move them to my flower tent to let the seeds ripen. Move over a bit please.
Moved my bonsai mums and a few clones to the veg tent.
I love an empty canvas to start something new.
I’m going to start 40 seeds of Erdpurt X CBD#1 and 40 of (Erdpurt X CBD#1) X Romulan ‘BX1’. Will bring it down to 48 first, then 18 plants to select new moms from. Will make clones of all of them before flowering. I’ll keep all the clones until I tested the end result. I hope for two well balanced CBD:THC plants.

Fully seeded Guerilla Gold X Critical Kush Auto. Going to test the F2 next outdoor season. Will give my friends seeds to see what they will grow. Hopefully fully ripe early september.

I just replaced my filter, it was long due and the smell is getting stronger by the day.
Day 44, I assume they need 9 weeks, so 3 more weeks to go.
Earliest seems to be the di frutti.

That’s a serious canopy you have, very nice.

Thats awesome, thanks for the show. 4 x 8 is a big space. I filled my 2 x 4 once with 10 clones of headband and pulled a QP a few years ago. Im sure they were much smaller than yours.

Right on @Stinky ! Watch out for mice. They love fresh Herb seed. I recently lost a bowl of Cobra Lips F2 that I had sitting on top of my seed fridge to mice that I had no idea where in the house. Now everytime I see a picture of an open bowl of seed, I get flashbacks!
