Strange things on the Ocean floor

I think it’s from low quality sonar. these lines must be the trail , where the boat passed. at different distances resolution quality is different. I found it also in the black sea

But can sonar make a 90゚ turn as in the tank tracks?
I’ll have to look in the black sea. Haven’t looked there but I haven’t found any in the North Sea or Persian Gulf.

The sonar is attached to a boat. Boat just has to turn.

Maybe, but you would think you’d see it in more places than just the Gulf of Aden.

You could reference this. Bathymetric Data Viewer
Google doesn’t create their own sonar maps.
If you find anything like that in south florida(palm beach to key west). I have real sonar images not from Google. (700-1000$) charts made within the last year or 2.

Thanks for the link. It looks like it could be pipelines according to that. . I will have to see if everything matches up.

OK so what you are saying is the sonar was laid out and working and a boat came through at the same time and it registered as tank tracks?( the sonar signal got somehow imprinted in the map image) I could see that

If the boat rolls with the swells/waves that creates the track differences in each pass as well…

Why just the 2 tracks though?

No the sonar is attached to a boat. The boat has to go back and fourth. The sonar beam is only so wide. Then they put/crop the images together…

Would it show up as 6 miles wide? The tracks are 6 miles wide…

It all depends how long the ship/boat was out there trolling that sonar back and fourth behind it. Could be days, Could be weeks depends on sea conditions boat capabilities.
Some areas could be a pass or 2. Other areas they could have gone back and fourth for numerous passes.

OK here’s a shot from very high up, and you can see both Africa and Yemen.

Yeah I definitely think it’s interesting. I see the trench lines or could be underwater fissures.
But I did have a puff for thought.

This is a necessity!

Well this toking tonight has me thinking about similarities to Nazca lines.
But we are talking deep water here.
Check out lines straight south of Australia.
I think the deep sea is truly unknown…
