(Study) Terpenes block pain. Oral/Inhalation effects are "Placebo"

Ok so terpenes do alleviate pain/inflammation but according to this research, only when injected. They suggest oral/Inhalation admin is placebo. Interesting study, I suggest reading the entire article! Of course these people have a vested interest in suggesting that smoking/vaping don’t work & this was a mouse model. Anyone here can tell you it’s not placebo.

I hope one day AI replaces mass mouse torture for our science.

And yesterday it was illegal. Funny when there’s money to be made.

i question the whole “terpenes” thing regardless. i think it’s just a bunch of marketing. sure, let’s inject some terpenes…

I’ve drank enough terpenes (there is some beverage companies that make them into drinks) to know that there isn’t really an effect thru that method of administration.

I for one know terpenes are inhalable through my own research. Limonene reduces anxiety when vaped - no doubt is it obvious.

Now, are all terpenes the same? Of course not.

Wow, terpenes are pain reducers??? No way…

Anyone who’s had their lips go numb while smoking a joint could have told you that

They have research paper they wrote themselves. Terpenes from Cannabis sativa Induce Antinociception in Mouse Chronic Neuropathic Pain via Activation of Spinal Cord Adenosine A2A Receptors - PMC

Over all, it seems like a really good news for cannabis smokers as well, isn’t it?

It clearly suggests that terpene has significant (doesn’t mean a big but means it did not happen coincidently and had a true effect) influence in pain relieve.

And I think many substances in the world has better effect from injection than oral/inhale, isn’t it? Like injection you straight put terpenes to your blood stream and oral/inhale has to digest or filter trough your tommy and lungs LOL.

Also, it just says, oral and inhale method had less terps bioavailability and that they need further research about this (but this is not the interest of the paper, they are aimed to see if terpene has impact on pain/inflammation sort)

So they only suggested a good thing for us, i think!

Alright that leaves one solution: boof the terps
