Does anyone have any methods on shipping to increase probability of beans making it from US to Canada . First time sending up North wanna make sure goods arrive safe ! Thank you for any input yall
Coin flip, rubber washer, in a greeting card
Thought about that but also wanted to consider maintaining original packing from breeder .a person won a pack on a giveaway wanted make sure they actually receive it and doesn’t disappear into the ether
Anything else goes thru custom!
So essentially the best method is the coin flip envelope to ensure it doesn’t get gone through right?
Yeah coin flip+washer in a greeting card has been a 100% success rate for me.
Can usually still keep the breeder packaging too. I just move the beans to the center of the pack. Put the coin washer on top of the pack, around the beans, and tape it down. Using the coin flip at that point is optional, then tape the pack inside a greeting card and go from there. One global stamp or three forever stamps is good. Sometimes I do two just to be 100% sure there are no postage issues. I know rates just went up recently.
Greeting Card, tape Flip to Center of Card, then insert flattened Seed Packaging inside also, Problem solved, SS/BW…mister
like the new look cool!
Has anyone ever shipped a small flat rate package successfully from US to Canada? What would you put on customs form? Gift?
I send Padded Envelops often, I include seeds in a Ziplock Baggie with about 30 - 45 Sunflower Seeds. I declare them as Giant Sunflower Seeds, Value $4.50US. To date, no problems…knock on wood. SS/BW…mister
I just had a small bubble envelope with customs form make it through from California.
Probably hit and miss mine came with a ps 3 game .
I used dvd boxes when I shipped to my Canadian friends. All of them got through.
Yeah, I’ve received several packages safely this way, DVD or Video game Boxes.
