The Canadian Contingent (Part 2)

What happened at the 420 event??

The cops basically shut most of it down. They put up fences around the areas where people were going to celebrate, closed parking lots, closed bathrooms etc.
People relocated to the south plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery at Robson Square.
That is the jist of what I heard.
I’ve honestly never went to any of the 420 celebrations, I am not a fan of big crowds of people, and I hate driving in Vancouver.
Sucks for those that were trying to have a good time though for sure.

Hey there Canadians, just an FYI, US stamps are set to go up on May 6th by 10 cents. So if you are buying them, be aware as after the 6th ypu will need to add 10 cents to them or they will get returned for insufficient postage. Another fun fact,.they don’t sell 10 cent stamps any more so you will need to use 5 cent ones. :v:

Booooo, I just bought to books the other day. Thank you for the heads up

I buy them in rolls of 50 so the lovely lady at the post office I go to warned me so I only bought 24. I had not heard of this so wanted to warn everyone before their stuff started getting returned. This will also affect international stamps too. Permanent stamps remain ok.

I would have been warned by my regular lady but the weekend crew on so they were all out of caring that day :-1:

to make up that 10c per one can just buy a pane of the 6 cent insect stamps, though typically you have to order those in but its $3 for a pane of 50, so good for making up postage on 25 usa stamps

I had mentioned this a few times, I thought I for sure posted it here. Good call though it always sucks having to add more postage or to get something returned.

This is good news because I accidentally bought a bunch of 5 cent stamps I couldn’t use before.

Real quebecois pork rinds:

They suffered a little from traveling in the bag but still very good.

Bag, not jug = coincidence?

In alberta, its illegal to transport rinds in anything other than a sealed 4 liter jug with a small mouth

“Pour me out a liter of rinds.”

Jugs = the worst.

A liter aka litre is about sittings worth of rinds. The design is very human

“Don’t eat the whole gallon it’s not good for you.”

Really it would be smarter to have it in individual sized portions but who am I to tell the pork rind people what to do.

My rinds are salty enough without big government involved

Are those international stamps and us not Forever stamps? They should be worth the current rate increase amount unless they have a dollar amount printed on them

Because of your comment there is now a 30% tax on pork rinds. Take the blame.
