Just the north pole lolol

Central 'berta. Bought 2 battery tenders yesterday so my trucks batteries wouldnā€™t freeze.

This is humidity from the garden frozen to the window :joy:

@Tappy right?! Such a scam. I couldnā€™t even imagine if I was forced to own an ev (2030 liberals).

-36C overnight here. Clear sunny day with not a cloud to be seen and it has warmed up to a balmy -26 LOL
That said I am glad winter is finally here and the lakes are freezing up fast in this weather. Been itchin to get out ice fishing but the freeze up was slow to come this year. Itā€™s funny ā€¦ but not funny to listen to newer people to the area who bring up the words ā€œclimate changeā€ or the Libtard punchword Climate Crisis LOL. This same weather pattern happened in the 80ā€™s so anyone who lived here then or spent a lot of time here , has seen this late freeze up before. I remember it because I was here as a teenager visitting family for christmas and the lake wasnā€™t frozen yet. I was super bummed out because I had packed all my ice fishing gear expecting an awesome time fishing and boy was I disappointed.
Back then they blamed the Ozone Layer ā€¦ and a whole lotta sheeple bought into that scam too LOL

Yup. I grew up in Kitimat (Kitimaat = people of the snow) and Iā€™ve seen snow above the roof line and Iā€™ve seen grass on Xmas. Cyclicā€¦

Iā€™ve been to Kitimat many times over the years during my hunting and fishing adventures. Boy itā€™s changed in recent years.

Hasnā€™t it? I left 2003/04 and only been back once for a very short visit around 2010 I think. Iā€™ve checked it out on Google earthā€¦somethings will never change but alot really has. But I tell ya what, I do not miss the months of socked in wet weather!

I was in Kitimat about 20 years ago and it snowed the whole time I was there. My flight was supposed to go into Terrace, but we landed in Prince Rupert (or on the island offshore) because of snowfall. A bus was taking us inland, but an avalanche ended up blocking the roadā€¦it took me almost 24 hours to get from Vancouver to Terrace, by plane! (and bus)

That sounds about right. I canā€™t remember when they finally upgraded the radar system at the terrace airport but the pilots used to have to land by sight. Lots of delays lol

When it gets that cold, a block heater and battery tender helps. But then sometimes the transmission freezes up.

Yeah she was cold yesterday. Brakes were hard and 2-3 shift was delayed :grimacing:. I have no plan to abuse her today.

Just got back from superstore (itā€™s actually beautiful outside!)ā€¦they have all their Christmas electrical stuff on sale. The grounded, 1800w outdoor/waterproof mechanical timers are $2ā€¦the single to triple grounded outlet things are also $2. I dunnoā€¦caught my eyeā€¦the mechanical timers are usually $15ā€¦so killer deal.

I always just hear of how rainy and uncooperative the weather is out westā€¦the prairies are actually decent to live in.

I have two cousin in BC, they love it there, a daughter in Calgary, she likes it there, Iā€™m here on the Best coast, Iā€™m happy here lol
