Hello, Im trying to horde science based info on dry and cure. for ex, it is my understanding that during this period CO2 breaks apart effectively decarboxylating slowly (and thus why they say you can decarb a flower with no heat, in a 4 or 5 month cure ), and that moisture leaves the plant which also kills bacteria etc. But I hear a lot that if humidity goes below 55% for an extended period (lets say 12 to 24 hours) then curing is completely stopped, and you cannot go back to curing, all you …

Best ways to dry and cure

Grove Bags.... Has anyone tried them on a cure?

I have been reading about the product called Grove Bags. These bags, after hang drying, are designed to eliminate the need for burping, shaking… The bags regulate the RH and still allow gasses to escape, supposedly preserving the terpenes and trichomes. From what I have seen they are an amazing tool to add to our growing methods. I’m curious to see if anyone has used them or plans to use them. Curing in jars

Hey guys so i notice when i dry my buds for about 7 days I put them in jars about after 2 to 3 weeks I notice the smell isnt as strong is this normal? I keep them in glass jars humidity always 60 to 65

Newbie questions on Curing for small amounts

I’m gonna be harvesting my single plant grow in the next couple weeks…I’ll be chopping the whole plant and I had my first harvest and cure get dried out to quickly and wasn’t worthwhile for much…this second grow is worlds apart in looks, smell, density and structure…I just wanted to see what methods you all recommend

What's your curing technique?

Iv read so many different ways on how to dry and cure weed and I’m no master at it either. Drying and curing has been my downfall for 20 years. I tried all methodes. Don’t get me wrong I can come up with a pleasant odor. It’s just not that break the bud in half odor. Lately I have been drying my buds on the stems for 10 days then I seal them and burp once a day for a few seconds. It smells good but it just don’t have that punch u in the face smell that it should have.

The cure is key. I’ve found that all this time I’ve been jarring to late.
Now I usually put into jars while still “wet”. Then jar on and off every other day until it has a bit of stem snap when bent…bag it for a while and you’re good.

The difference between my first harvest (no idea how to cure) and my latest is astounding. The flavor, potency and smoothness of smoking is a completely different level.
I was amazed after my bud had cured for about six months. The flavors came out cleaner and the potency is vastly improved.
I use Grove Bags for the cure itself and then I jar some and vacuum pack and freeze most of my product.

My older sister met Robert Smith after a concert in the 90s… my mom went with her and waited with her by the tour bus. He signed a bunch of stuff and gave her the rest of his screwdriver… which she kept in a mason jar until a few years later when it looked absolutely disgusting, she chucked it.

So i see her in the morning and due to her all night crying (happy tears) she looked like the fucking blair witch…
