Time for me to do an update for this week. The OKC is living up to its kush heritage, after I topped it in a few places secondary growth took off like crazy. I was planning to flip her into flowering this week but I had to remove a few upper fan leafs to let light down onto the new growth and I want to give it some time to recover from it before I make the flip. A few days ago I started a Vietnam Landrace seed and just started it into a solo cup, went to see if it broke ground yet and didnt see anything. So I scraped a little soil off the top to find the seedling was trying to grow sideways. I have since replanted it to an upright position. As for the rest of the seeds I have soaking, 3 have popped open. I will have those 3 in a wet paper tower for the next day or so. I am hoping I can nurse all four of these seeds along.

Time for a quick update…
I tried and I tried but the Vietnam Landrace seeds all died on me. I am not to broken up over this, I knew the chances where high that this would happen. But there is some good news, I was able to source some more Vietnam Landrace seeds. They are in shipping right now and as long as US customs does not spoil the fun I will have them in a few weeks. Since my tent is now free and I dont want it to be sitting idle I am going to start on my Romulan Ale project. I just started soaking 3 Cherry Brandy seeds in water.

That’s a bummer but Romulan Ale sounds like a hell of a silver lining. Hopefully you have better luck on the next batch of Vietnamese.

Now I will admit the person I got the new landrace seeds from has some other things I was almost ready to buy as well but want to try out these seeds first to try out the quality. The seller also has in there possession 2 different strains of North Korean marijuana. Also the 3 cherry brandy seeds are still soaking and have not yet popped open.

Just started to soak another 3 cherry brandy seeds. The first 3 are looking like duds really fast.

I am not sure that method will help, the cherry brandy seeds are very odd. Normally when I soak seeds within a few hours of dropping them in water they sink to the bottom of the glass. But with these seeds so far they just like to float on the surface and after a day I can force them to stay under, but they dont sink to the bottom of the shot glass they just float under the surface of the water for a few more hours before finally dropping to the bottom.

For some reason I dropped my Pennywise seeds in water instead of my usual paper towel method last time and one floated until it opened, but it opened a little behind the one that sunk.

Update time…Flipping the OKC to flower tonight, I am glad I gave it the extra week before doing the flip. If you look at last weeks photo and compare it to this weeks photo you will see what I mean. Also the OKC spent most of this last week working on secondary growth and put very little effort into growing taller. Still nothing with the Cherry Brandy seeds, starting to get a little concerned. Might have to start looking for another strain to take the place of the cherry brandy for this romulan ale project.
