What a bummer, so sorry to hear that. May be time for a thorough fumigation.
I, for one, don’t really know how to effectively handle them. Don’t know if the treatments for spider mites would work effectively for those. Has anyone been able to control these?
I have done a lot of reading up on this…Im doing my best to get rid of them all
Sorry for your loss, at least thanks to this thread we are now more prepared to detect them …

glad to hear that you found the damn culprit @HandsOn! In the opening post you stated that they looked fine when young and then turn to this I’d suggest problems with the soil could be that there in the soil to begin with? Maybe try a small bag of different mix after you nuke your grow room?

We clear the whole room,bought new soil,… deep deep cleaning and heat treatment
