Clever use of the cfm bars for lst. I do that also. I like your style dude.(said in Sam Elliot voice)
May I ask a question since there is so much auto knowledge here ? I want to grow some autos but I live off the grid so when my batteries go down to a set point the power shuts off. Now when the batteries recover the power ( and the lights ) will come back on. I plan to just let them grow this way until they ripen. Does anyone see any major problems with this theory ? Thank you
Just wanna add from my limited knowledge that some say autos don’t like stressing.
I topped my plant when she was 9 days old, and honestly she doing alright. I would recommend to top just a couple of them and pull some of the stems sideways just to see what you will get.
I do not.
A true autoflower will bloom irregardless of the light cycle.
I’ve grown autos under 24, 18, 16, and even 12/12 before with no issues but obviously you want to build up the plant early on or she’ll be a runt. Currently got a Twenty20 auto that I started under 18/6 then moved to 12/12 tent after pistills and doing well. They can handle pretty much anything
I’ve also had an autoflower basically in the corner of my sunroom receiving 24 hours of light and it flowered and produced a pretty decent harvest. The only caveat is on occasion I’ve had plants that were sold as autoflowers but ended up needing some periods of darkness to properly flower
Can anyone verify if Autos produce less potent high than photos? Here somewhere I cant remember.
For the most part a good photo will be more potent than a good auto but terps similar and on occasion I’ve had really nice strong autos but not very common. Plenty of dud photos though so each plant is unique
@supersecretjim if you would please send me a DM with your safe mailing information and I’ll get some autos sent off to you.
You don’t send outside of the US, do you ?
I have a select group of guys and gals outside the US to whom I’ll ship seeds. But outside of that small group I generally don’t ship outside the USA.
Message sent.
Thanks!
Look at what showed up in yesterdays mail…
Thanks again, @LoveDaAutos
Too Generous!
I love that name, HubbaBubbaSmelloscope
Thats gonna have to be the first to drop!
Seriously, I’ll have to do some digging on all of these…
Find out just what Ive been gifted
Oh that’s great, happy to see they arrived. Some very good auto genetics from Mephisto there.
You cant go grow with anything from mephisto. Every auto i have grown from them has been super potent with terps out of this world. I believe the least ive pulled off a meph auto has been over a qp !
Thats awesome to hear, and very encouraging
That Grape Walker Kush is looking pretty damn good!
Im probably going to do a single autoflower on my first try. Hoping to hit 8oz+. Octopots grow them BIG. Hopefully that holds true for Autoflowers, as well.
Seen a bit of autopotamus on Mr Grow it, and impressed with his one pound autoflower grows.
Got a bar to reach, lol. I’d be happy with a successful harvest above all, but breaking 8oz would be cool and keep the autoflowers competetive with my photoperiod plants. I seem to be getting 8oz+ from each of them
Thank you ! I run 3 auto pots all together in my tent and auto flowers absolutely thrive in them. I am sure the octopots will be no different. Most important thing to get a good harvest with autos, is to not stress them the first few weeks of life. I look forward to keeping up with your first auto run !
I’ll definitely hop back on here and give a heads up link when the seed or seeds drop.
I think scarlet grapes is the only autoflower seeds that I got from the giveaway. I think all others are regular or feminized seeds.
If I only run one autoflower plant, Im running HubbaBubbaSmelloscope for sure. It looks to be low THC at 15%, but sure its really cool. Double Grape or Scarlet Grapes would be close second
Thanks Rasta!
How much does each Autopot produce on average for your autoflowers, and what size tent are you usiing to run 3 Autopots?
Im not expecting a full 16oz harvest like Autopotamus, but I think my Octopots should perform fairly well with them, although Chris at Octopot doesnt recommend them for autoflowers. It does take 2-3 weeks for roots to hit the reservoir, typically. But during that time the plant is growing and doing its thing.
I will most likely run full 24 hour light schedule during grow from start to finish, just maintain a reasonable, or maybe not so reasonable DLI.
I avg close to 9 oz per auto. My tent is a 4x8, i could totally run way more plants than what i do, but it is very humid in my state so i choose to not overcrowd my tent.
As far as your octopots, the 2-3 weeks for the roots to hit the res is perfect. By the time they hit the res, you will be close to going into flower and they will explode with growth during stretch. Sub irragated systems seems to put plants in overdrive, at least from my experience.
