I hang the plants in tent they were grown in on hangers in dark with a humidifier hooked to a inkbird set to 56% rh. If i set it to 60, by the time the rh% reaches inkbird sensor to shut off it continues to rise well above 60. Any tips
Try drying at 50% and as they show more and more dryness, turn it back to 56% and see if that gets you where you wanna be for the buds… You do have a small fan oscillating the air but not directly blowing onto the plants right??
done correctly they should take 2wks to slow dry and, give you your best product…
Also, it’s ok to trim the large fan leaf’s off but, leave all the close leaf on during drying and then dry trim those… what this does is it protects the trichome heads while drying, locks in terpene’s for better flavor… I read this in an old grow book and after doing so, will never trim differently again. I was amazed at the difference in finished product, plus the dry trim was good too…
Keep the tent cracked open for a day and then it’ll work as expected. I use a small room and close the door after a day and the inkbird starts to kick.
Whats the differential? I was scared to set it above 60% bc thats when mold becomes a possibility. I want to get it as close to 60% as i can but the delay between the sensor and the humidifier causes it to rise to almost 70% then drop back down. This all happens within under 1 min but its a constant process. So if i set it to 60 the room will always be above 60 since it will kick on when it drops to 60% but it will over mist and by the time it shuts off it keeps rising.
So i set it for 55% area and it only will shoot up to 60-61% but then fall back down so thats why i hopped on here to ask what you guys think. Im not sure if what im doing is the closest i can get to 60
