I like using tincture for pain help. I start my day with coffee every day and I put tincture in it. Then every 4-6 hours I take more. I vape during the day as well and will smoke after I get my adulting done for the day. If it’s the bad sciatica pain there’s not much I’ve found that can make it better and I just grit my teeth and drive on. That shit can make you non functional it gets so bad.
My friend has it so bad (sciatica) they had him on oxys, but tried lowering his dosage so many times it just didn’t work, after fighting with them for months and months and being almost immobile, he went on methadone…… yes methadone. Been on it a month or so now and swears it’s helped him HUGE! But says he feels like a lowlife going to the clinic/pharmacy etc. I was with him last night and he’s definitely improved on the mobility and back to himself front. Not gonna lie I tried hard to talk him out of it but he was sick of the back and forth and switching medications etc. when he knew what worked and used it for 14 years but now they wanna change it I really don’t get healthcare anymore…. It used to be about making people better. Sadly not so much anymore
Yes, a sad truth indeed.
Morning y’all. Ya missed breakfast!
I normally consume a lot of edibles during the day. No idea on dosage, but other than the missus and I nobody will touch them. I know they’re WAY stronger than some gummies that are 50s. I found I was eating too many, so just took a break for a few weeks. Wife asked yesterday so that’s that. I wasn’t eating too many.due to pain. They help me a lot on that front, but I make Snickerdoodles just like I made as a kid with my mom. They’re just too good!.
Diet and a mixture of Pilates and yoga. An investment in a quality reformer will help you out exponentially more than new lights, seeds, clothes, electronics, and so on. A 10-20 minute yoga routine as soon as you get up, Pilates session sometime during the day 3-5 times per week, and a nightly 20 minute yoga routine. It really helps and it greatly increases your chance of spending not only more time with your family, but more quality time as well, because you’re healthier both mentally and physically. I always try to tell folks struggling with the motivation to do it for their kids or their partner. It’s an also an investment in saving money in healthcare, because that stuff is pricey. Best of luck to all!
for real man. hope yall had a good day also!
People are suffering for no reason right now… opiates work & should be handed out freely to people in pain. Worried about overdoses? Develop a wrist watch with a Naloxone syringe. Your oxygen level drops, it injects you, problem solved, no more overdoses.
I watched my Aunt (stage 4 cancer) call a doctor begging for more pain medicine. They told her “piss off” all you’re getting is thirty 5mg vics a month. She died 3 weeks later, suffering the whole time.
So yea, f*%k the system. I’m glad your friend found some relief at the clinic at least.
Sure opiates work, but any future reasonable guidelines for perscribing aren’t there for MDs. Big Pharma, pill mills, the 80s rehab as business boom, etc have ruined it. Beginning of last year I came off 20 years daily rx opiate use. My choice. Never once cut off, but never fucked with my doctor. I hate the things, but it’s also a quality of life issue, cuz they can work… I cut my use in half, then 6 months of that. Then tapered in a week. No I did not feel well. Went most of last year without. My back pain is worse now than ever due to a bunch of things. Recent MRI showed a change that shows a possible correctable issue that wasn’t there last MRI. My primary is great. Real supportive of my cannabis use. Lots of good questions about specific strains I like. But these chats are off the record to protect himself. Lots of supplements instead of rx’s. I feel fortunate to be able to access the quality of cannabis I do, combined with other holistic and more traditional methods.
Hey @TopShelfTrees1 …didn’t mean to hijack the conversation. You know where I’m coming from here. Thanks. Hey @Gonzo , all I can say is be careful.
This is just the joys of living in rural anywhere same kinda shit where I live. I take my mail the 80 miles to the city when I go at least I go 3-4 times a week but otherwise pita! Glad you got it sorted and least it hasn’t been 100°+
Damn! That right there is a pretty epic idea! The wrist watch, I absolutely love it in fact.
As for your aunt I’ve seen this too, I’m kind of torn on the opiate tip too as I was a part of the over prescription epidemic at one point. And watched so many around me struggle, die or just really really suffer through it all, had friends take their own lives and others who lost it all…. I was blessed and still am I am realizing this more and more each day. It’s a very tough subject but I do believe you are right , people should have access when it’s truly needed, especially those with cancer suffering, dying literally! That’s just wrong what ever happened to way of life, dignity no one should have to go out like that I’m so sorry to hear this @Gonzo
Good morning OG hope everyone is having a fantastic morning!
@crownpoodle hijack away brother! Mi casa es sous casa
Good morning brotha and OG!
Hope everyone has a great week!
good morning wish you all a nice day!!
Good morning everybody!
This is exactly where I need to get back to . At one point I was 230 give or take, jacked but not stupid just big, cut , THICK. Went to the gym 5 days a week, ate my pre-planned diet, callisthenics in the morning and at the end of each workout, swim on my days off. And tbh it was super easy to stay in the 215-230 range, now I’m like 195 but definitely not all muscle , I’m 6’2” so 220 is actually ideal imho. Plus when I hit that bag she would MOVE , I’ve lost so much I need to regain. I very much like the idea of Pilates and yoga I just don’t know where the F to start brother for real? Any tips
Starting yoga is easy enough. Just get a mat and do some simple sun salutations. Free YouTube vids etc. I used to do it as training for surfing because you really need to be in shape for that shit. You can make it as complicated as you like but getting started is easy.
Pilates is a bit more challenging but I can tell you there’s a studio opening up down the street from me and Mrs Foreigner is very excited.
With the internet and YouTube these days it’s super easy. Just start with beginners routines. If you can afford to go to a yoga studio in the beginning, it can help quite a bit. A decent sized mirror to practice in-front of as a beginner is great. But, you can do it all on your own easy enough. It’s about breathing really. If you eventually want to get into tougher forms of yoga down the road, there are options. Pilates can be done the same way at home with no equipment. In a basic sense, Pilates is about lengthening while strengthening the muscles. It’s how you get lean and fit. Unfortunately, Pilates studios are an insane ripoff. Just buy yourself a nice cadillac reformer and practice yourself. Years ago Pilates studios were $60-$80 for 30-minute sessions. Can’t even imagine what they are these days.
Agreed. Lots of forms of exercise are “Push! Harder!” But with yoga it’s best to only extend yourself as far as breath will allow. Flexibility will come.
I’ve seen quite a few ridiculously inflexible people absolutely shred too. Haha Always funny to see the fat guy shredding. Like fat Occy or something. Haha
Thanks for the input guys, seriously. I’m gonna look into this stuff, it’s funny I’m still the guy that won’t google shit, but will frustrate the hell out of myself trying to figure it out, sometimes for days…. Always saw it as the dumbing down of society but it’s time to embrace in instances like these. I wouldn’t even google trivia answers for beans on here a mat is already on the fridge, reformer too (gotta admit until I look that up I have no clue what that is either smh) see I’m an old man trapped in a youngish man’s body . Time to change it and make it all better cuz my body ain’t feeling so young anymore
