TopShelfs trees (Part 2)

I’ve always been the kind to try and understand and keep up with world events. Now (most times) I regret that quirk in my personality. I hate to say that. When someone like me gets to that point, what does that say about those that were already indifferent? Now, when people stop wanting to know or care… that, my friend, is a scary time.
Any more, I just try to keep my little corner of the field in order as best I can. The powers that be will be what they are. It’s a lot easier on the emotions, so a lot less stress, when I remember that.

That’s me exactly. I rarely watch news, haven’t gotten a newspaper in years, and tbh I’d rather not know for the most part. All it does is invoke dread etc. There are good, heartwarming stories but mostly it’s a nightmare. We are bombarded with forest fires, wars , hurricanes, tornados and tsunamis, the eradication of species, the loss of our forests, poisoning of our lakes and air. Then hear about the billion dollar bunkers they build or crazy spaceships they have built to save the wealthy etc. no wonder people are anxiety ridden nowadays! Idk where mine came from but I went 35+ years without it, then it came out of nowhere and in still trying to figure it out years later! And it seems like almost everyone I talk to has it too!

Yup. Always taper everything. Always, every time. Your doctor might not suggest a taper but that’s just because (a) the pharma rep/university said its not necessary & (b) he’s never come off a drug himself.

Doesn’t matter if its pills, alcohol, weed, cbd, sugar, caffeine or herbal supplements. If you took it every day for awhile, taper off & you’ll be smiling :+1:

That’s the point I believe. Just give up. I can’t change big picture stuff but I can control how I behave.
Everyone says that government is really ineffective. I believe that government is very effective, it is simply how I’m measuring it. It’s ineffective at changing things for us. It’s very effective at maintaining the status quo. Some people are doing very well with the status quo.
I’ll remove if to political

Knowing these things is a privilege, unfortunately the bad news comes around 10 times as quick.Still,we are better positioned than any time in the past to take advantage of technology and other advances to better our future,as well as the next generation.

Perhaps but if your 8000 friends hadn’t been so deliberately atomized you’d have a chance…

Hope everyone had an awesome day. Just remember how lucky we are to be living at the peak of empire. It’d be like going back in time & hitting up Rome at its peak (or right at the beginning of the deterioration). Weed growing in our basements, delivery on demand, central air & heat… pretty neat time to be alive :metal:

Hey I heard some good news the other day. Since we as a planet decided to stop manufacturing CFCs the ozone layer has been healing and is expected to make a full recovery by 2066. Imagine what else we could collectively reverse if we would quit letting these bitch ass corporations run the show!

Ways of Carbon sequestration will increase in efficiency equivalent to the advance of technology. Half the job is getting started, the other half is getting finished.

Damn have a rough couple days and fall back 200 posts :rofl::rofl:. Hope everyone is well and happy Friday to y’all.
@PatHealy playing in the rain is a blast so is night golf with the ball that glow and blink. If you can’t hit the fairway the glow ones kinda suck anything deeper than slight rough and you can’t see them until you are standing on them. I loved the assholes who bragged about how good they are and always tell you about the same “the one time” story. I’d act like I was new to the sport but dumb enough to dump money on golf gear. Worked at country club I got sic clubs, shoes, drivers whatever cheap or free so had to make excuse for gear. Then after 4 or 5 holes get them betting and they’re already drinking hell ya! I’d make more money hustling those aholes then I would for a weeks paycheck.,:rofl::rofl: And I didn’t have to pay for the round of golf either. If they are gonna be that full of themselves well stroke their ego a bit, buy a couple rounds(for me we’re free) blow some shots, and then ask if they want to bet. If they bite from that point on you are emptying their wallet!
Yes I was an ass but I was 23 so f… then.
Have a good weekend everyone just typing that story brought back memories and put me in a better mood. Thanks you guys!
