God DAMN! Thats crazy! Time to crank the AC and earn those $600 electric bills!

Yep, that’s absolutely nuts! My AC has a hard time keeping up at 95 ffs, I’d need an upgrade living there! I still can’t believe people live without AC my neighbour down the street was laying in a pool on the front lawn, I’m like “AC down ?” “Nope don’t have any” I walked away just thinking about what it would be like inside my house in this heat…. Man :man_facepalming:t2:

Same, Here it should stay cooler for about a week before the heat starts to ramp up. I may have to get on the skateboard today.

Do it! Sounds like a blast, I was just watching a wicked old skate movie but one of my favourite, thrasher donut duty. Had me enthralled like it did 25+ years ago, the golden age of skating !

Didn’t see him, but an old friend was visiting from Hawaii. He’s a hard core pool/park skater…at 67. Go Bob Clark! He did a skate park tour all over the :us: before he went back. Never into skating. Watched Urethane wheels come out and watched my friends not surf for months at a time. Nope.

I was a hard core skater in my youth , snowboard and skateboard were obsessions for sure, can still keep up too, sort of anyway lol. 67 though, man that’s awesome! That’s how I envision Tony hawk, 75 still doing mctwists lol

I remember when he landed that first 900 at the X Games. That shit was wild then. Now they’re doing way crazy stuff.
I thought a backflip on dirt bikes was nuts. Now they’re doing doubles…on snowmobiles!

Ya it’s nuts the progression of sports! I remember how long it took to land my first 720 clean on a snowboard, then the mule flip 720 I thought I was king and no one would surpass it, ha! But there was guys landing 1440 once in a while, Next year guys we’re landing 1080’s like nothing, 1440’s we’re being pulled off in comp regularly , with flips incorporated and shit! I’d sit there Jaw dropped watching some of these guys, some little kids! It was enlightening and humbling to say the least. From there out I just focused on me and running sick lines top to bottom to perfection etc. and honing my skills on the pipe etc rather than just huge air and crazy backcountry (my obsession’s especially combined)

Hey guys… I still remember steel wheels on my first board. That thing would numb out your legs after an hour of sidewalk surfing. Those were the slip n slide days of skateboarding. lol

I had metal wheels on my first pair of skates when I was a kid. The first skateboard I got had hard ass plastic wheels and then finally they started coming out with nice aftermarket stuff in the 80s. It was my main means of transportation after my bike got run over with me on it lol.

i would love to own one of those now lol. just for nostalgia

They were dangerous. Just one pebble on the sidewalk or a raised break… would lock you up on the spot. They were hard to lift over those kinds of things. Of course we had no need for helmets or pads… I broke my right arm in two places racing down Collier hill on Ft Leonard Wood.
Racing down the steepest hill we could find on slippery steel wheels… Yeah, mom raised at least one stupid kid. lol

I have friends that served at Ft Leonard Wood and they talked about how much running the hills there for PT sucked. It’s commonly called Ft Lost in the woods in the Army.

Yep. If that fort was laid out flat it would be a county. There’s some impressive hills. lol
Coach made us run them during football and wrestling practice.
We called it “Fort Lost in the Woods Misery”.
