I survived another week and if your reading this you did too!
I wouldn’t consider myself a ‘fan’, as I switch between watching NHL, all sorts of vehicle racing(street and off-raod/dirt), but this years Stanley Cup playoffs have been so exciting! Each bracket has a team I enjoy. I’ve been trying to catch every game but damned… there are so many and they’re all great!

Good morning! How is everyone today?
Good morning everybody. Yesterday was a catastrophe at work but a raging success with the young man. He said he wants to get dropped off at our house every weekend to help with the remodel and learn some things and keep him away from temptations of fucking off and doing something stupid with his friends.
After I graduated, I used the diploma to forge graduation diplomas for other people. lol!
I don’t know the backstory @Indicana_Jones , but it’s a good start. Anytime someone young wants to learn I’ve always been up for teaching some stuff. Those lessons aren’t limited to the hands on stuff…

It looks like a slow day on this thread: Only 12 posts had accumulated since my last visit. That’s a rarity!
Nice work @Indicana_Jones. That sounds like a win:win situation. Now you’ve got a helper too.
The back story is he’s curious and he’s adventurous. Those two combinations of things led him and some friends scaling up to the roof of a primary school and going into the school in the middle of the night through an unlocked roof hatch to explore the building for a little bit and then leave when they got bored of that. He’s a good kid, he’s just been failed by just about every adult in his life up to this point.

Thanks guys. We had a bunch of good talks last night that carried over to this morning while making breakfast.
heck yeah! that was just the other day you had talked about it. It’s awesome you guys are already spending quality time together. 
It was like the stars aligned for this to happen. I took him to work with me yesterday for the last day doing punch out on a job and showed him what it looked like to get a check for ‘a fuck ton’ of money as he put it. And I told him ‘this could be you if you quit with all the stupid shit!’ 
Now I don’t have any work lined up for a few more days so we are just kicking it around the house watching YouTube videos and piddling with little shit. I was super surprised at how in tune he is with the state of the world right now.
I’m glad it all worked out. That’s definitely a big motivator as an adult, lol.
I keep thinking about this @Indicana_Jones . In different areas of life. I got good at parroting someone. Monkey see. Monkey do. But when asked to show someone else, I was stuck at "this is how I was taught?” I wasn’t understanding the root cause thing or something. I really started to learn when I was asked “why”, and answered “I don’t know. Let’s find out together.” I had great success with that approach.
Definitely. I had a friend who didn’t try to fix stuff that broke. I told her, if you figure out why it broke, you can try to fix it. It may not always work but if you can fix something, thats worth a shot.
