TopShelfs trees (Part 4)

I’ll be moving to your neck of the woods eventually.
I’ve got land near Lake Of The Ozarks.

I just looked at blueberries this morning as they got a fresh shipment. 3.99 a pint :man_facepalming:t2:

I love the ozark area, beautiful. What township? Mountain View is supposedly the highest part of the ozark mountains and supposed to have a great outdoor scene?

Yeah 3.99 a pint that’s pretty bold I can eat that in a sitting!

Camden County. It’s nice remote but accessible enough and cheap.
My folks live in the Ozarks of Arkansas, but Missouri is better suited for us northerners.

Same, easily! I like the chunky soups/stews etc. for when it’s just me for lunch/dinner. 5$ A CAN! No joke, I swear every week stuff that just went up, goes up AGAIN. I just don’t get it, if you weren’t living pay to pay the last few years you most likely are now, and those who were struggling years ago are teetering on homelessness and starvation now…. Then they cry no one wants to work the cheap jobs, ya because you are working your ass off to not come close to making ends meet, it’s only a matter of time until this pot starts to boil…. Trust me, majority of people are at their wits end.

Holy shit I thought they were expensive here in Florida at $2.50-2.75 a can!

It’s sad when you can go get a fast food burger cheaper than a can of chunky soup ! Real sad

Fast food has gone up in price too

This is why I am so grateful my family got me an air fryer

I have 7 small pans of Lasagna I made in the freezer.

Meal prep then freeze to save costs

They rape us for fast food and restaurant prices here.
We hardly eat out when the bill for 4 comes to $100 with the tip.

That sounds delicious, and definitely a great idea to help cut costs!

Here fast food is so expensive It’s tough to ever justify buying it

I’ve also been making weiner wraps

The food bank gave me 39 frozen all beef hotdogs. Looks like you can buy hotdogs for cheap in that size. Say 15 bucks. A can of 6 wraps is like 3 bucks.

So that’s like a buck each weiner wrap or so? Not super cheap but it’s filling.

If you wanted to cut that down you could make the wraps yourself

Another thing is I buy 10 packs of that nongshim shin ramen at Walmart. I grabbed the kimchi one last time but it’s different than the bowl version so I’ll stick to shin. You can always add protein, vegetables, and condiments to instant ramen, and nongshim makes the best.

Making your own sandwich meat is also a big cost savings. If you buy pre packaged or deli meat look at the cost per kg and compare it to some cheap meat of the same kind. If you get good at it you’ll make better tasting stuff too.

Stocking up on pasta and pasta sauce when they are on sale is another way to save money. It’s not “fun” but if you only buy sauce and pasta on sale that’s a big cost savings and you’ll always have something to eat even when you have no money.

You are pretty frugal, that’s awesome. I’m a bad shopper but I’m learning . My wife’s the frugal one, she kills it at the store, coupons and all. Makes me smile everytime cuz I’m like damn I would have spent that 38$ she saved or whatever, EVERY TIME. But now I’m like oh shit it’s on sale for what? And proceed to fill my cart.
