TopShelfs trees (Part 4)

Hawaii can be hard on foreigners I’ve heard. But would definitely be a helluva place to live. The cold in Alaska is the only thing now i question as each year my buddy likes it less and less. 5 years ago i lived for snow, -10, -15 days at the gorge. Not so much anymore. That cold just ruins me now

For me it would be the light. I’d need a fully dark room and a full brightness jungle room.

Southeast Alaska is nice, most of the land is tied up up in the Tongass National Forest so land is expensive, but great fishing and deer hunting - trees and not real cold.
If you don’t mind rain.

Tell me about it :joy:

But yeah I hear they don’t like mainlanders at all.

The big island Hawaii Puna side is a trip.
Their are some real cosmic hippie types.

The native Hawaiians can be very aggressive on Haole
, but Alaskans get a free pass, just make sure you bring some canned salmon for trading.

Oh ya I’ve heard horror stories from many a grower over the years. Terrible stories tbh, and the crazy part was a bunch of them were rocking BLM gear, hating on a white guy for moving his family to Alaska to start a new life…, even had their kids bullying his kids, unreal

The summer light is super cool.
Just make sure you have good curtains, but most of us go like hell in the summer and get very little sleep anyway.
The dark is depressing, and having an indoor garden helps, lol

Good morning @MoBilly it’s pretty crazy how these threads can take on a life of their own. It was pointed out to me by another member here and friend how “polarizing” of a figure I am…. Honestly I never once thought of me that way, ever . But what I love/enjoy I’m extremely passionate about, I think that comes across to people, or they really do just like us…. Either way you and I have threads that just GO! and I’m not gonna lie all my friends here everyday when awake is an absolute blessing. I’ve had days I wake up anxious af, come on here, read a few good mornings and send a few and before I know it, gone! And there’s people on this thread that have LITERALLY saved my life, no joke. Probably more times than I even realize. But I’ve got mad love for all my friends here and can without a doubt say I consider you guys family…. And I’m blessed to have each and every one of you in my life. Never underestimate the power of friendship, good will and kindness, your smile, your gesture of good will or words of kindness could literally save a life, that simple. I’ve had a lot of epiphany’s the last few years as I’ve truly been finding myself again. But one of the biggest is how far generosity, kindness and friendship can go. Not long ago I had pretty much lost faith in humanity and was becoming a hermit who only talked to his associates and wife/kids. I was inna deep dark spot, wasn’t long after I had hit some real lows I found OG again. Made an account, logged in and it took a few months but I started to see the potential and had already found a few great people, not to mention the brothers I brought here with me like poodle, jaws, shsc1, shag etc. I have made some of the best friends I’ve ever had here, and so many great people it blows my mind at times . We are definitely blessed to be alive in a time we have the access and freedom we do and this place is at the forefront of preservation and ensuring these epic genetics are around for generations to come, I love that we are all a part of history no doubt, in 30 years or so people will be looking back on this forum going THANK GOD for (insert name here) truly. It’s awesome

Couldnt of said it better myself! I truly enjoy coming to OG everyday. It’s making it more an more tempting to try and justify the $5 monthly membership and stick with it! Always looking to give back to the community ive learned so much from and its much better than a few of the other places I’ve been. I enjoy this site even more than discord

It all depends where you are in the state.
We’ve got nearly 11 hours of light a day now.

What trips me out is going someplace warm and it gets dark.
Or seeing stars without having to wear a parka.

I’m like that a lot:joy:. It’s why I’m terrible at comebacks, I’ve got the 24-48 hour delayed response thing. Loses the flow somehow

Man I think alot has to be the region, we get stuff out here pretty cheap, but I live out in the boonies. Like I can get a case of blueberry’s for 10 bucks local gal sells eggs farm fresh for 3 bucks. I did buy some organic chicken from the store but 2 lbs was 12 bucks. Reading all these prices makes me not want to leave the country side.
