First, is it herm (IE: Bad genetics that will likely produce herm offspring), or reversed (Either intentionally or unintentionally)? The distinction does make a bit of a difference in how the plant should be treated.
If it is a herm, then at the very minimum you should at least make an effort to remove all the Male parts and it should not be allowed to release pollen or reproduce. Transporting a known hermaphrodite without at least attempting to take precautions to prevent the contamination of other plants in the area would be very bad form. Most growers and breeders agree that hermaphrodite plants that are not intentionally reversed should be immediately culled to prevent proliferation of the undesired traits. I personally would be pissed if my plants were pollenated by a careless or inexperienced grower with bad genetics. It also has the possibility of destroying a breeder or growers livelihood.
If you are growing a Male or reversed plant out, precautions should be made to at least attempt to prevent contamination of other’s crops, such as containment of the pollen to your own personal grow area, or at least taken to a remote location where it is unlikely to contaminate other grow ops.
As for the trolling, if they were a dick about it, then they deserved to get trolled. It doesn’t take much to be civil about things.
