Hello friend.

So nice of you to visit.

I keep thinking you could turn that camper and roll the awning out to cover your plants! Hope the weather stays nice for you!

I never considered the awning lol it hasn’t been rolled out in years though and I’m not even sure the supports are working properly anyway.

So I’m looking over all my plants and while they mostly seem okay, the 501st has some pretty severe frost damage. The whole plant is underdeveloped though and to be honest I didnt expect this plant to finish anyway as it was such a late bloomer.

It’s starting to rot on alot of branches so i might have to cut my losses on this one.

The other big plant has some nice long fat incredibly frosty colas though and it doesnt seem to have been too phased but it’s definitely showing some wear.

The 2 durban crosses and the other unknown fem are also quite far along.

The pink one not as far as the others but still pretty fat.

This one is fat and is maturing very fast

This one is frosty as hell but I’ve lost a few branches to rot.

The two Agent Ks and the Glacier OG x RCB are also way far behind and need another month or even two so they are also lost causes.

So at this point I’ve kinda decided that when I start seeing significant damage to my good plants im just going to pull the trigger and chop em down. This season has me weary anyways it’s been a rollercoaster and I’m just happy to have gotten this far with them.

I want and need to shift focus to not only my indoor growing, but also the other aspects of my life that have been getting neglected as of late. I have a photography business that’s entirely on the back burner as I try to balance it with all the growing. Not to mention I cant do shoots on my property while I have big weed trees in the middle of it lol. Also getting a bit of cabin fever as I dont leave the house much for fear of thieves or because I have work to do in the garden.

I am sorry your grow is going a bit tits up man, considering what’s happened the last 2 weeks with the weather, they are surviving fairly well. Still not good losing good bud to mould.

I am going to just do auto’s outside for the hell of it, from now on. I can’t invest the energy into a decent outdoor grow, with so many things trying to fuck it up for me :unamused:

Focus on what makes you happy  I am wanting to do a bit more creative stuff ATM, Christmas is coming and I normally paint up some T-shirts for some family members, but it’s taking longer to paint now because of my problems. So I have to start earlier.

What sort of photography do you do ?
Have you tried taking any good weed orientated pics, and thought of selling them

I specialize in portraits but I do a bit of everything from events to landscape to product photography. I keep the cannabis separate though to keep up appearances. There are some high quality DSLR shots of some of my older grows but I’ve been too pressed for time or in too much of a hurry to take out all the gear for my last few runs. I have a good quality camera on my phone though that has been getting the job done quite nicely though.

As an artist yourself I’m sure you understand that drive and motivation play major roles in the quality of your work. It’s been incredibly hard to find that drive and motivation when I have so much other stuff going on, much of it being stressful as hell like dealing with sick plants for the last 6 weeks across 3 different grows… lol

Fall photo shoots are a big thing for families and couples and if i don’t get my ass in gear the season is going to pass me by just like the summer and wedding seasons did this year.

And the autos, yeah I’m going to do a gigantic patch of autos next year, like dozens and dozens, should be quite the experiment!

This week will be focusing on dry trimming and bottling my indoor stuff, building a light, then getting next indoor round started while preparing for a potential early harvest on the outdoor. And that’s just the grow related stuff (that I can think of) lol.

Yeah, I think anything I do, on a creative level is affected by my mood and enthusiasm, I always need some kind of motivation to pick up an airbrush, it’s usually money, I enjoy it emensly near the end, when it’s all but done and signed, but up to that point it’s stressful trying to perfect the image. I kind of go through phases with things, this last year because I haven’t been painting, I have been improving my didgeridoo playing. The last time I did a lot of practice on my didge was about 4 years ago.

Sometimes you just have to put things down, for a while to realize how important they are to you, and worth the effort and drive to perfect, or improve upon.

Doesn’t mean you can’t come back to them later if you want too. No point wasting your energy on some things if they don’t get your mojo flowing, just for the sake of your time and money you have invested in it.

Earning a living from any kind of artwork in this province seems hard, I show my work at shows and locally but rarely get my money back to cover the cost of the space one rents. The last show I did everyone struggled to cover their costs.

Same, I do a few of them every year and its basically sell a few prints to cover costs, hand out a bunch of business cards and hope you get a bite.

It’s definitely not something one can make a living on, but it certainly can be lucrative during busy seasons. Last Fall it was nothing to be doing a few shoots a week with an event thrown in there every now and then. Christmas as well is busy and usually covers gift buying and other holiday costs. End of the day though it’s just supplemental. I also do welding and metal work, auto repair, odd jobs, and some electronic and computer repair as well. All have been on back burner while I try to juggle my many hats lol.

Very cool with the didge, I always thought they were such a interesting instrument. I play guitar and a few other stringed instruments, admittedly a little too much, as it’s my main outlet of stress relief. I’m feeling down? I pick up the guitar and jam for an hour (when I should be working on other things lol)

I suppose it’s normal to feel like you’re not nurturing your creative side. Creative people, artists, musicians etc can definitely fall into a slump when their creativity isn’t challenged.

Hope you find whatever it is you need to get back on the horse with the painting and pump out some new stuff! Tis a shame to see talent go underutilized!

Oh no…is it hack time?

At least on the mission critical ones, I’d say. Worst thing is I’m unable to get it done today and will have to wait until tomorrow…

Well what’s another dày I guess. If you have time you could just take the branches off quick and put them somewhere dry and breezy. I just took one of mine saw some PM and rain in the forecast.

Going to be raining tomorrow, the rest of the week is looking nice though, 19-20 and sunny until Monday.

I am sweating like a bastard atm, needing a break from moving heavy pots, and stripping out the veg tent, getting ready to slice it open, and attach the extension once I paint it today, I hope I don’t fuck it up lol.

Ughh I just saw the rain forecast now. I dont know if I can handle much more of this…

I’m with you. Rot took one of my girls and I am studying every bud on my Jillybean 3x a day. She isn’t due for a month. Snipped three rot sites out this morning. Short flowers and autos next summer.

I’m right there with you buddy! Kind of over it, being a slave to my plants and the paranoia and being stuck in the house a lot from thief fear. Sorry about your weather hell, bro! Mine will probably be with the last 3 that will go to almost December. I’m gonna really remember how tired I was by this time next year and probably won’t grow out anymore super late sativas again. Luckily, I’m in the home stretch with most of the plants. After trimming all day yesterday, I’m already over that too! lol And that was a small plant. I’m thinking it will take at least 2 days a plant after this… Hang in there! Luckily, you got all that indo recently that was harvested.

Is what it is. Hopefully a greenhouse next year, but either way I will definitely be doing alot of autos and no more pots, either beds or right into the ground. Lessons learned.

Indoor has provided, outdoor will too, gotta get this next round up and going and it will be a good christmas!

Pouring rain here today. Plants are gonna take a beating I reckon I’ll chop most of em down tomorrow and salvage what I can and move on.

Anyways heres a smoke report on one of the FAM seeds.

This came from the lowers of the smaller of the last 2 plants I harvested. If these lowers are this good I cant imagine what the big buds are going to be like. Skunky with hint of chocolate or something. Smooth smoke. Very sticky! It’s definitely the best so far!

Also, gotta say drying my plants “properly” has made a huge difference. I’m usually in a panick to get things dried asap and I end up drying it in 30% RH and also doing wet trims, and usually leaving it to dry in the light.

This time I stripped the fans and hung up whole branches in 55%RH in my dark tent for a week, and the last couple days Iet the RH drift up to 65%.

The buds have that nice styrofoam feel and the smell and taste is even better than when they were growing. Amazing.
