Trichome shots!

I was using a scope that attaches to my phone. Hard to keep everything still while fans are blowing and one hand on phone lol

gotchyah! In those cases, if you need to get a really good photo, I cut off a small part of the plant from somewhere and put it on a solid platform. Then I rest my wrists on a solid object when I snap the photo so my hands aren’t shaking. Putting the camera on something solid works as well like a stand. Just a few tips do with them what you will

biological research microscope using darkfield condenser, and a sony dsc-t10 with zoom to eliminate vignetting through the eyepiece. first photo is objective 4x and the second 10x.

Imagine holding a walmart digital camera up to the eyepiece of that microscope and you have my process  I am currently waiting for an amscope high performance camera, it’ll kick ass. Fits in the top tube.

how much would that setup with the amscope camera run total, if someone were to go purchase it?
this is an example of about the range I have without using a digital multiplier, I would like to have more, but just for examining the trics. it’s way more than adequate.

probably a setup like that would cost 700$ ish at the amscope store, You get what you pay for.

I was using an old Olympus UZ750 that was mounted and hacked, but the old girl died a short time ago. So after searching for something within my price range I found something and I am giving it a shot! If I decide it is worth keeping (at least as good as my old setup), I will reveal what it is, if anyone is interested? I just am not sure if it is, as good or better, than what I previously had? I can’t tell?
But I can’t wait to see your new shots with the amscope camera setup? I can just imagine, looking through the top or side of a tric. into other trics or faint images of trics., cool, way cool!

It came with two lens. Costco package, the normal one and a telephoto lens. Gotta play around with it more. It has crazy big RAW files, so zooming in on stuff is awesome.

lol with my setup, sometimes the things you see…cannot be un-seen. Be careful what you learn… the truth can be harsh and disturbing.

contamination anyone??

yes, all of the shots are of morning glory (ie) (ies) how ever it is spelled do not know the plural unfortunately? the top shot is the main flower, I did not see any reason to take any more images of it. But the rest, are images of immature morning glories (you know?) from the same off shot mother vine. I had hoped that was evident from the title. If not, sorry.

@stONER775, what strain is that one? The colour has gone right through the trichomes. Looks interesting.
