Interview to Sr.Bogavant & Brothers inc, the “Indica & CBD part” of Tropical Seeds Company :

Maybe it was a bit of fortune what make us find our buddies of Brothers INC, like many other things in this life. After a first glimpse, we decided to take a closer look on their works and offers and send some kudos for their philosophy.
Now, today, we are coming with an initial interview with the aim of spreading the word on these guys who are working fine and caught our attention. We will be betting for them and you can find their strains directly trough our WEB .

• TTSCO: Hi there, friends at Brothers INC: We are glad we came across you and you gave the yes for making this interview possible. We would like to start asking about how and when did Brothers INC started and who are the people behind this project.

• Brothers INC : Brothers INC is born with the enthusiasm of two friends. We’ve being growing and doing our own seeds for several years in which we also shared these seeds with friends in forums, cannabis cups and events. It was before having a good acceptance by the friends and growers that tried our crosses that we went into a more in depth work continuing the strains we had started. Brothers INC as a project is close to arrive into it’s first year of activity.

• TTSCO:
  When talking about seed banks, we can say there’s a huge offer nowadays. Spain is a clear example of this. What do you guys want to offer in addition to the growers ? What would you say is the type of grower that would enjoy your seeds ?

• Brothers INC : There’s a wide range of different offers than can fit well in the general public and all the growers, no distinction here. This said, it is true to mention we’ve decided to give a medical point to many of our strains that can contain a high CBD content. So, we can recommend the Brothers for every grower but some may suit better the sybarite growers, Dark Dance as an example.

• TTSCO : One of the main rock of your catalogue is, no doubt, “ Dancehall Mapetit ” What can you tell us about her and what would you say it adds or improve in the hybrids in which it participates.

• Brothers INC : Sure thing, our “ mapetit “, selection from a Dance Hall female, is one of our better bets in our hybrids. Her 1:1 THC/CBD ratio together with its incredible effect, yield and smoke makes it perfect to be a base of our breeding. To add up, it has already gain some prizes in the Spanish circles.

• TTSCO : We can also spot some yankee blood in the Brothers INC offers. They are hitting strong in the actual cannabis scene. Do you work with renamed clones with strong characteristics ?

• Brothers INC : Yes, that’s correct. We can find Clement Rodier OG in our catalogue. This hybrid has an OG Kush base, using a true and original OG Kush clone from the USA. Clement remains all the OGKush traits with the particular Brothers INC touch.

• TTSCO : Delicate Dark, we’d like that one not to be a “hidden” one inside your catalogue. We feel this has to give some excellent and unique flavours and smokes. What other strains would you recommend for those in the search of an excellent experience when smoking ?

• Brothers INC : Couldn’t agree more, Delicate Dark is one of the best candidates for the best smoke. Many are finding it very surprising and say it’s an special old school one to enjoy. If trying to find an unique flavour we would also like to mention Dandy Dance and Koikiri Forest, both also giving some nice yields and smokes you’ll like and become fan of.

• TTSCO : In the days we live in, no seed bank offering regular seed stocks remains unnoticed. Brothers INC has got them. Do you think they can still have a place in the actual market and in the future ? Will you continue to work them ?

• Brothers INC : Regular stocks are important for us, they’re the base as to create any other work. We feel like a sad thing finding less and less new Banks that wont include them. They continue to have their true believers and many agree that are the best as to start a selection process. This are some of the reasons why you’ll be able to see Brothers regular stocks in the future.

• TTSCO : Think we wont go wrong is saying “La Cuarta Especie” is a must for those in the search of a medicinal strain. Can we find a 1:1 CBD-THC plant in the lot, or even a higher CBD to THC ratio ?

• Brothers INC : No doubt “ La Cuarta Especie “ in THE choice for those looking for something that can help them in the medical side. Parentals used in this strain contained a high CBD ratio and in the making we focused on those closer to the 1:1 ratio. We followed the test done in the plants as to be sure to use the best ones. This can continue to be seen easily in the offspring so, yes, the 1:1 ratio and the higher CBD to THC can easily be found in this strain.

La Cuarta Especie

• TTSCO : Turn for a recommendation coming directly from Brothers itself. Which is your favorite for the outdoor grower… the resistant one always giving some good flowers to smoke. Same goes for the indoor side.

• Brothers INC : We have to go with “Jamnesia“, a truly rewarding and easy to grow strain outdoors. She does fine with cropping and its a good mold and pest resistant one.
  A bit harder when choosing only one for indoors. We’ll go with Dandy Dance. Great yielder, excellent aromas and flavours, we have to say it is our favorite. We also love the energyzing effect at first that continues in a more relaxing and sedating effect for the mind and body as the time passes and the high expands.

• TTSCO : What are your future plans ? Will we see some new things from Brothers in 2k15 ?

• Brothers INC : We’ve never stopped since we first started and we have our minds and hands busy with plans. Its part of us the entire dedication, day b day, to work and continue trying new lines we can work in the future. So yes, we hope to bring some new things in some time.

_ What defines us ? What make us different ? Why are we a good choice in the cannsbis seed market ? _

Tropical Seeds started gathering and working different genetics and pure lines back in the year 2000. Hombre de Barro (HdB) at first had the idea and took the first steps in huge green houses in Canary Islands, 28º N, subtropical climate. Then aeritos joined the Project and more crosses and different lines were worked in order to improve the original stocks.

Congo, Ciskei, Durban, Swazi, Pakistan, Nepalese among lots others were the base for the first years. We choose carefully the original sources as to have a certain security of being working interesting, potent and full of potential lines. Seeds came from friends, collaborators and different seed banks with lots of love for this plant such as CannaBioGen, Herbaria or African Seeds.

Our goal was to make something different, even more enjoyable in the grow, tasting and final effect of the strains we were developing. New scents and flavours far from the continuously repeated commercial ones, cleaner highs, that´s what we were in the search of. Strains had to be strong, vigorous, resistant, easily grown outside in many climates, also indoors.

An equally important goal in this Project was our careful way of doing things. We know things done with lots of love and in detail give afterwards the best results. Our seeds are produced organically in small batches which we always keep in the best conditions. This implies our seed stock is always fresh and you can expect the best results coming from them.

We then try our seed stocks to see if everything is in order and quality standards are as they should. Germination ratios should be above 95% as to pass our test. Every batch is labelled and easily identified, every seed pack has it´s own code for this reason.

Charles, our man in the creative issues, arts, social networks and more, has given a new image to the company. Our new WEB, FB & Twitter are updated daily and all our friends also like to come and stay close to us. Impressive shots of every strain can be seen as well as first class info you shouldn´t miss to know more about our strains and how to get the best from them.

Our very most favourite sativa decided to get in touch with the 3 classic sativas involving OT Haze. Great outdoor choice for warm and mild climates. Open branchy structure. Produces a good quantity of buds spreaded in the entire plant. Flowers are best quality, scents combining fine wood-leather and fruity tones including grape or exotic kiwi. To sum up we get a nice potent sativa clear and uplifting high. Puff puff and cant get enough, getting higher and higher. Perfect to enjoy from the morning to the evening. Doble Zamal :

Réunion : this is the Island bordering Africa where this French genetic has its origin. We are proud to offer this cross between two lines coming from this area.

Smokers from Réunion believe it is the best strain and smoke on Earth. Truth is this pure sativa is a long flowering one in between 18-24 weeks. Plants have some very thin leafs and a very branchy but strong structure when growing.

A strong first stretch can be expected when starting to bloom : it can take up to 6-8 weeks to make her stop. Flowers grow relatively compact for a pure sativa and final weight is interesting.

The high in this strain can vary from relaxing to even very potent, energetic and psychedelic , depending on plant selected. Scents and flavours are in the range of fruity, floral and spicy.

This is a must for the sativa lovers and the growers searching for something unique and classic. Whishing you some happy growing when trying the Double Zamal !

Zamal CBD :

ZamalCBD is perfect for growers seeking plants with a high CBD content for medical use, one of the few high CBD strains in the regular form seeds.

Individuals with a ratio CBD / THC close to 1:1 are mostly but some with a dominance CBD or THC can also be found.

The stretch is rather important, but still reasonable, the production is very good with a very compact heads crop and color very dark end of flowering. The flavors are fruity, typed zamal. The effects are relaxing with a sense of mental well-being and physical sensation appeasement.

This version was done with a clone of the first generation female zamalCBD chemotype with a CBD / THC 1:1 and a presence of THCV / CBC / CBG and a male of the first generation with a zamalCBD chemotype CBD / THC with 1:1 with a presence CBC.

Zamalmystik :

The goal with this strain is to find the organoleptic qualities of Zamal together with its incredible high and enjoyable flavours. Then adding a more compact final size and a shorter flower time to the final offer. The name for this idea and now reality : Zamalmystik !!

The work has been created using a Zamal collected at Mafat in the 80’s. The line was diverse and opened, with a flowering period in between 6-8 months. The cross then was made with a Dutch polyhybrid. Lowering flower times and making it shorter and more compact was accomplished. The potency on it has considerably increased too.

We continued digging into this cross up to a F5 generation. We reached what we were looking for by trying to fix some traits so they will show more often in the stain. We gave the shape we wanted to this creation after testing several intermediate works.

We discarded the rest and only went with the one showing what we first wanted in this cross : A quick Zamal, around 12 weeker with some compact colas for a sativa. Excellent yield, and stretch was shortened. The usual stretching is now around x4.

Flavours and scents continue to be in the classic Zamal side : fruity, spicy and floral.

I had two but I had terrible germ rate on the first and thankfully Tropicals customer service is top knotch and supposedly have sent me another.
There are dates on the packs and the first one w the not great germ rate I believe was from 2012.

I’m actually considering getting their gear to vend out of the DankyBank. Seems like a great team they have… will decide for sure after I run these Durban Punches.

The first line we had when thought on starting this Project was Congo Pointe Noire, an excellent sativa we´ve enjoyed all these years since HdB discover it and started to work with her.

We were very lucky some years after, to find another african enthusiast, located in South Africa: African Herbman. AH is a great person in close contact with the best ganja and lines of the Continent, improving and mantaining them. He always explained us the potential Congo Black had, we decided it was the perfect mach that could improve our Pointe Noire.

It took us a time to find the right male to be used to create the Congolese F1. Our selection was a vigorous, productive and very odorous male. He passed all our stress tests and has a strong firm sex with no herma traits. Descendancy finally give us the chance to see it was a good choice.

Congo Black adds a bigger resin layer in flower time. A good stretch be should expected when changing to 12/12 but it is true some will mantain more compact in structure and forming flowers.

Congolese essence remains in the classic fresh floral, carroty and fine woods scents. Ready to be cut in around 12-13 weeks.

We recommend curing the flowers some months and then be prepared to enjoy this classic sativa smoke : and african for the enthusiasts. Nice complete bouquet : fresh floral, incense, carroty and fine woods. Potent, clear and active sativa high you shouldn’t miss.

It started smellin “hash almizclado”, @Kalgrae, but know is mixtured with somethin more " wet/little fruity" scent… I smoked some dried buds picked in 9-Oct n it has a sativa happy high (but it was to early, talkin bout its maduration stage…).
Im sure the “pink part” cames from Smooth Smoke (Nepal Highland X Pakistan Citral Kush), a more indica than sativa strain…
But this A11XSS looks as sativa as the original A11 that @Calyxander showed inna The DogsHouse thread, I think.
