True veg/bloom Led fixture with realistic spectrum?

Is anyone happy with the specs of their adjustable “full spectrum” lights? I need to veg and bloom in the same space. The “all purpose” lights I’ve been sold are not good for either veg or bloom, lacking in either 460nm or 660nm. I get no roots in veg and poor metabolism in bloom under these lacking “full spectrum” lights. I am growing immensely superior product under T5s compared to these garbage leds.

I’ve watched manufacturers go from zero red:

to twelve 660nm diodes per 120w board:

then 32 reds per board:

20230118_135953

then 50:

…in a 2 year period. Finally, enough deep red.

Now, we need half those reds on a switch, and substantial 6500k on a switch. Science and technology have never been lacking in led development, some of the old switchable blurples were MUCH better than today’s popular “full spectrum” general purpose American made Chinese white-yellow-green lights. I shed a tear every time someone is recommended Amazon instead of ebay. All these 3-3500k “full spec” lights flat out suck. I own 5 different brands and they will inevitably make their way to the trash because I don’t want anyone growing mids because of me.

So I’ve found newer models with a 2200K bloom spectrum, and can source panels with a decent 6500k veg spectrum, but not on the same fixture. Why? Plenty of home growers veg and flower in the same space, right? The new v3 HLG Diablo finally has enough 660nm, 29% more than last years model that everyone bought. So where’s the blue. Oh, they only sell separate veg lights.

The light industry MO is obviously to sell upgrades perpetually, indefinitely, so I’ll more than likely be starting my own light line from a Shenzhen manufacturer if I don’t want to wait another 10 years for a real veg/bloom fixture to hit the market. I don’t want to give the grow light industry any more money anyway, but thought I’d ask around before commissioning my own dual purpose lights that actually make sense.

I have a v1 and v2 HLG scorpion Diablo. I’m happy with the results, I veg and bloom in the same tent. Not adjustable, but you mentioned the Diablo v3

I bought Grow Light Science because of their spectrum . I’m super super happy with them . I use for veg mom tent and flower . Have 3 640s
And 2 300s . They will be staying

They outperform my trusted DE Gavita’s and burn way less electricity

I use @Vivosun panels. I couldn’t be happier.

About to be my next light, thanks. I like the open-bar design so I could hang a fan at the top and blow straight through the light onto the canopy.

I also do that straight down on canopy

No shade, but, are you sure your problem is with your lighting?

I’ve seen some unbelievable flowers grown under Meiju and other “Alibaba” purchased lights. I myself use Bloom Plus for veg and Mars Hydro for flower, and I get very satisfactory results.

I will say, I tried flowering under my Bloom Plus light with lackluster results, but I blame the 95w output and not necessarily the spectrum.

I have 2 @PhlizonGrowLight panels a pl 4500 and a pl 3000 and I’m pretty happy. Had some good results, so far the results have been right up with when I ran 2 - 1000 watt sodium/halide setups. :+1::+1::v:

I love my G300… Their bigger lights are calling my name once I get a 2nd 5x5.

I run a 3500K light for both veg and bloom and the results are good. Mine is a DIY using Bridgelux leds and meanwell drivers.

I run t5 for veg and hps sodium still for those very same reasons but I do believe California lightworks makes a fully adjustable and programmable led light , still need to add supplemental uv light though which they also sell.

ViparSpectra XS for the win!

PS @Neopetal, might help if you dropped some pics of your grows for comparison?
