Using silica in coco

Afternoon. I’ve never bothered with additives during growing. Just A&B, root tonic when I’m feeling flush and h2o2 in my little res.

On a web search it seems there’s about 200 ways to skin this cat. Do I add silica first and wait? Also I read it shoots pH right up. Is it worth the aggro?

It will raise the pH. Add it to solution first, agitate then give it a minute or so. Needs to be the first thing in. Plants will LOVE it!

If your not counting on beneficial bacteria then I use diatomaceous earth mixed into my soil. I find it gives a slower release and doesn’t swing ph as much as liquid silicon. I just swing the ph of my feedings by 0.3 in compensation
