Veg time of clones

I have my first three clones. I took them at time of flip. I would like to hold them back as long as I can. right now they are in solo cups. I have no idea what size to keep them and the level of nuts at that size. Help!

You can let them veg as long as you want. Up pot or increase feed as needed. Take more clones then flip when ready. If you need to save space, once they’re a bit big for your liking, cut another clone, once it’s rooted, flip or dispose of the bigger one.

I found use low light (6K lux, 18/6) worked well for nice, slow development.

I keep clones for mothers in solo cups for months. I give em regular veg nutes and lighting and hack them back to a couple nodes every week or two. They really like the haircuts!

Edit: I should say thats in coco. I’d probably use a 1/2 to 1 gallon pot to do it in promix

Yes, 1/2 gallon would be easier to keep healthy, but not necessary. One of my bonsai mothers, 16oz container with pro mix. She’s been in that for 6 months

If you want to keep them small, give them low light and low feed. I’ve kept clones small like that for months.

Thank You! just what I was looking for!

Yep. thank you for the idea and giving me the push to try.

I have them under the T5

Thank you for the advise!

Good to know!

Thanks to you all for the quick and very helpful advise. I want to hold them back until their Moms are done so I can do a deep clean of the flower tent.
