Most supplements are minimally effective at best or a total waste of money at worst. Triacontanol is great, however. I recommend using a concentrated one part multi-supplement over kelp, though.
Further, you can buy Triacontanol powder and polysorbate 20 to make a lifetime supply of Tria supplement for next to nothing. It is very powerful.
That being said, donât hork up rails of the stuff Motley Crue-style and youâll be fine.
Yes, it is safe. It is just a plant hormone. PGRâs get a bad rap because paclobutrazol, which used to be in a bunch of âflower hardenersâ generally made giant buds that werenât very good. That being said, I believe that had a little to do with those types of growers cutting corners elswewhere and the fact that wholesale pounds were 4K at the time.
Buy a bottle of Grow More Jump Start. Worst case Ontario youâre out $25. It really is a great product.
Hey man. How do prevent breeding males from pollinating your other flowering plants? How do you isolate them? Have a fine day @vernal!
Just popped 5 Captains Cake/Scottâs OG. Those are yours arenât they?
They are indeed. Cut came from Growhard, tossed it in with the male for shits and gigs. To answer your question, I didnât isolate them, just run a male in with the females. Might as well make a lot of seeds if youâre gonna make seeds. Those came out pretty well despite it just being a dickaround project.
This is the more chemdog '91 structure of the SKVA Chem '91 x Afkansastan/X18 Pakistani. No nanners to be found on this plant. Smelly, not as loud as her sister, but still smelly. This one should be done at 63 days. Her sister will probably do 60 days. Bud looks really primo on this one, honestly better looking than her sister, just not quite as fragrant. I still prefer my TK x G13HP more for a kushy hashplant, but these are for sure worth growing. Anything from Doc D is worth growing.
The Chem 91 SkVA cut x Afkansastan/X18 Pakistani by Doc D Seeds. Both at 63 days, will harvest in 2 days. I can see a couple immature beans in the bud, hope they didnât catch too much pollen. Maybe those Chem nanners werenât 100% sterile after all. Still some outrageously dank bud. Bottom picture is the more Chem '91 dominant pant, but the one on top is the really smelly girl.
Bandaid Haze IX 3.0 (last female from the parent stock) at 64 days. Will probably harvest in 2 weeks. Another excellent plant, though it wasnât kept. Only Mango Haze x Snow Lotus BX was kept from this round.
Bandaid Haze IX 3.0 #5 at just under 11 weeks, gonna run to 12. This appears to be the Cuban Black Haze expression. This plant was a clone, if it were a seed plant it would need 13 weeks. Very woody, musty. It is beginning to foxtail and fluff out. I donât usually flush plants, just cut back at the end as nutritional needs diminish, but the foxtailing is significant so this is just getting pHâd water currently and hopefully it should finish up with a nice golden fade. Not keeping it, I still like my purple #8 plant better, but sheâs still wonderful.
Hereâs a few of the lower buds from the SkVA '91 x Afkan/X18. Very skunky. It smells like straight chemdog with a bit of pond mud. Very nice, another stellar offering from Doc D. Thereâs a couple seeds here and there, found 4-5 obvious ones so far, some of those nanners it threw must have had viability haha.
Some early harvest Bandaid Haze branches. Bandaid needed 2 weeks longer than everything else last flower round, and itâs still 5 days from harvest. I took a few tall branches from the top, to allow more light and space to the other plants now in flower, and so I could get the light closer. Sheâs at 80 days currently, these were harvested around 74.
This is the haziest of 5 females from the original 11 pack. I set this one aside because it was definitely the tallest and narrowest of the females, and that I wouldnât want to breed with it, but I couldnât bear to kill her either. She has the most open structure to the buds, and could probably still push pistils to 100 days, but Iâll harvest the full plant at 85, she just needs a little more time for the lowers to chunk up. Her buds are very fluffy, more a pile of calyxes than a solid nug. Very nice and frosty, though. Does that thing where it almost looks like a string of pearls on some buds.
Tropical genes are weirdâŚyou just harvest when the law of diminishing returns kick in or another plant has been vegging too long needs the spaceâŚin my case, both are true. Figure 85 days 11/13 from clone is done enough, tops arenât doing much but throwing more foxtails, bottoms need some time.
The plant thatâs replacing it is gonna be a monster though haha. It was the slowest chunkiest plant but itâs gonna have 3 extra weeks of veg so weâll see what it does itâs Afghani #1 x Super Silver Haze F3.
