Lost the whole bunch to it. Grrrrrrrrr

Not too shabby… Cloudy only thrichomes… Cut all the bud rot I found and came out with 11.5oz still…

Getting ready to go in the hash machine…

P.S. I am going to build a greenhouse next year to grow outdoors…Great advice from a friend.

I have been thinking about this grow season and what I learned, and what I see others struggling with, PM etc… I am scheming about next summers grow.

Many of us, like myself live around the " 37th parallel north" in terms of latitude. So I wondered what landraces, or domesticated hybrids, are native to the zone? It would seem logical that these strains would yield the best results for us here in southern VA.

So I searched it out a bit. I was delighted to see places like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Irag, Iran, and even Greece, China, and Japan. Now I cant help but wonder what strains are indigenous or acclimated to this climate zone.

Coming up with such a list could benefit many of us. Strains that are naturally resistant to the humid Autumns we see, and the photoperiod cycles we have.

Here is some info from wiki that was interesting.

Hello! Hampton Roads here. Any sour diesel aficionados in the area? I have 1 specimen that I’m in love with. Have no comparisons yet but it’s driven me to focus on finding better, if possible.

Sour Diesel is one of the strains going out in the Fall box this year, so there will be an abundance once boxes start getting distributed. Here is the link to the latest preservation work: Sour Diesel Seed Run

There is more PM in my Green house than outside. Unless you can control the humidity a greenhouse make a better breeding ground for PM

I think I’m gonna try doing something clear overtop with no sides next year. Like a clear topped gazebo

That’s better than an enclosed greenhouse for PM especially if you’ve got good airflow. Don’t get me wrong, greenhouses are great if you have low humidity, but that usually has to be controlled in most places this time of year.

Yeah I’ve always wanted a greenhouse but being in RVA, I know it’s asking for a bad time because of the crazy humidity. Plus putting in 4 posts and a roof is way easier than a whole greenhouse and I’m lazy

What about a hoop house? Before I moved to the burbs, I would garden all year (leafy greens in winter) long in my hoop-houses.

FYI Here is a link to the clips I used to secure the plastic tarping to the 1/2 inch PVC. https://www.groworganic.com/products/rowcover-clamps-1-2

That’s an idea. But if it looks “janky” then the wife will complain.

I was just thinking about some cold type of lettuce or leafy greens, any recs?? I just chopped my floppy outdoor goji down today. The big pot that I got with the Take n Bake needs something in it now.

And you’re a whole lot smaller than I pictured you.

If you keep the plastic tarp tight, it almost looks like a solid structure. Plus if you are pumping out lettuce, leafy greens, and other assorted veggies, it’s hard to complain.

I’ve grown Black Seeded Simpson, Romaine, Butterhead and Spring Mix. It’s pretty amazing how warm it gets in the winter in a hoop house once the sun comes up. Great for starting vegetables before the last frost and keeps the critters from snacking on your baby seed starts also.

I get that a lot. I look young for 45! Ha!
