[W] Cheap CBD Beans

Hey folks

I’m looking for some cheap pure cbd seeds, my 5 pack from Dutch Passion haven’t been successful, while my pollen chucked Goji F2s have thrived right next to them. Looking to buy around 20 to use in a breeding project, so ideally looking for something well priced.

Any suggestions are very welcome!

Damn @MikeM,
You need to get beans from me when they’re ready.
You want CBD plants or auto CBD plants? Both are in the works. Photoperiods are 2-3 months out, autos are 4 months out.

I have some of these: https://www.new420guyseeds.net/index.php/cbd-strains/revolution-detail

Revolution (Harlequin x Otto #1)

Haven’t tried them yet, but looked like a fairly promising cross of two well known CBD strains.

Thanks for the generosity guys! @sebring by then we’ll know if shipments get through without worry, so looking forward to it!

@lefthandseeds that’s just the sort of thing I’m looking for! Thanks!

I am also looking for some CBD strains if possible. Is there currently a place to exchange CBD strains on OG?
I think something around 6-9% THC and over 20% CBD would be perfect for PTSD and other anxiety problems. Most people cannot wake and bake an OG Kush or something and function. Most people have to go to work…most of the time. So the potential is huge for light THC strains.

I have a 9% CBD, 9% THC cultivar, Juanita la Lagrimosa, that I am working with currently. Working on making her an auto currently.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think there is a strain that has 20% cbd. I grew Dutch passion Charlotte’s angel last grow as she was the highest cbd I could find at 15% but she also had less than 1% thc.

I am looking for a nice pure cbd to cross with some choice plants on this side. Ideally a sativa for the wife and an indica for me, really like the idea of 1:1 plants, but haven’t been able to get my hands on any locally.

From what I’ve heard, you have to harvest them really early to get high cbd% - just something I heard anecdotally, so can’t confirm it with science. Seems plausible though

Why not just grow 2 plants, one high cbd and one normal thc and just 50/50 it?? The elements don’t both have to come from the same plant to have the effects I think your looking for :+1:

I have actually tried some cbd extract that contained sativa terps in the past and it was quite racy for me. My plan is to cross it with an indica, F2 those and hunt for a low thc pheno to backcross back into the indica. That should result in an indica dominant 1:1 - and repeat as necessary. Not sure why I’m so sensitive to sativas - happened about a year and a half back and now I can barely touch them.

Honestly its genetics… if you toss a high THC plant with a high CBD plant, 25% will be high THC, 25% will be high CBD, and 50% will be half THC, half CBD (at varying ratios) like a Bell curve.

Thanks for correcting me @ReikoX. I learn something new each day I visit OG :+1:

From what I’ve researched, F1s usually show 1:1 quite consistently, with F2s showing the spectrum you’ve mentioned? I’ll see if I can try and find the study mentioning it.

That’s correct, the F2s show the distribution mentioned. Thanks for catching that.

Not so much catching as confirming with someone more experienced than I  I’ve slowly been working through your thread, been an enjoyable read!

It’s actually more complicated than that.

Lots of info here The Spread of Ultra High-CBD Cannabis - Pure Analytics Blog

Long story short - it isn’t nearly as easy as one thinks to develop a stable, consistently high CBD strain.

Oh, and the majority of “high CBD” strains out there on the market only have a 25% occurrence of high-CBD plants.

Just growing a “high CBD” seed isn’t enough (unless you are really lucky). You need to grow several and then find the ones with high CBD.

Here’s the study I mentioned before. I’ll have a more in depth read later and summarise their findings in relation to pure analytics
