Want to sow random seeds for next year,when do i do that?

I plan to sow some surplus autoflower seeds along with some native flowers in some local areas along a riverbed near me.

What should i know when planting seeds i wont tend to for the whole summer? I have 1000 seeds i can sow in various spots along this waterway and curious about what else might be ok to drop and not worry about environmental issues?

Right now my plan is classic guerilla stuff, bring in supplemental soil and nutrients into the area and buff it up before sowing seeds

Off the top of my head Iā€™d start them in plugs and make sure the water table is close by and consider osmocote to feed them.

Northern hemisphere, like May/June ish lol depending on latitude , I think lol longitude anyways lolhow far north you are lol my bad lol
