Welcome To DaFozz's Den

Good Idea about the chicken wire @beacher… The wire I had in mind was a snare, but my luck it’d end up snaring the neighbours’ cat… and it’s illegal to snare where I live… I guess I’ll see if my neighbour, the retired OPP officer, gets out his .22 like last year and shoots them…lol…

They are dead already, they just don’t know it yet…

I have a few “pee spots” out back already… easier to wobble over to the back corner from the fire pit after a few sodie pops than go inside…lol

Sounds like you’ve got some stew in your future then.

Saying the whole cabinet growing things, and being one of those growers myself, smaller tents are a nice solution if one has space or wants something a little less permanent.

I just wanted a more stealth setup that utilized the lower part of one of my closets.

Personally, I can see where on of these would be nice to have, especially if I wanted to get into breeding, pollination, etc. and use it as a “quarantine” tent for purposes as such. It would save having to build or re-purpose a cabinet for that, and for the level I would delve into would probably be ideal.

I’m not knocking tents, or any grow space. I honestly think I enjoy cabinet growing because it is reminiscent of my first time on OG 1.0 and seeing all the amazing grow cabinets and bud produced from them… Nostalgic for me… And yes, stealth was always on your mind back then… and still is.

Very tight little room Fozz…

I bet it does well for you. I will also be following your grow…Auto’s are interesting to me, and I have never done one myself…I would like to learn more.

Good luck from here out Buddy…

If you want some to play with and that i just suggest culling the weak “crinkle, or broom” phenos, i have plenty i can send you if interested.

That’s awesome of you @Mr.Sparkle… You know I am interested…lol

Even though you have sent me enough seeds already to last quite some time, I would gladly accept anything you wish to send my way. I am enjoying watching these (your) creations grow, and it is teaching me a lot… It’s not always about the yield if you have a buffer…

Hopefully, someday in the future I can "pay it forward " in some way to other members here on OG, as you, @ReikoX, and @deep_rob have so graciously and selflessly helped out a “Noob” like myself. Individuals like yourselves are the cornerstone for places like OG 2.0 to thrive and prosper…

Anyways, whatever you choose Mr. S, you have my addy…

p.s. I am sure he will enjoy running your beans…

Damn, I hope I wasn’t sounding greedy…

lol nah not greedy at all, having spares allows one to have fun, pass around, be selective and not feel like your wasting anything if you cull weaklings.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, “you’re a good man, Charlie Brown”… lol

I guess having spares allows you the luxury of “weeding” through and selecting as you say, the best of the bunch… and it is fun watching them grow… I am still amazed at how they develop on their own timetable… regardless of light schedule… It keeps you on your toes and interested more, I find, as they develop more rapidly…

They are certainly a blast to grow, and I am looking forward to tasting that citrussy smoke come first taste test… If my worn out sniffer can smell what it smells, I am in for a treat…

Shit… I was too medicated to notice that…Haha…

Thanks for the offer…I would give a couple a try if you have plenty…But if someone else can use them, or needs them, they can take them if need be. I think I have a couple that I signed up for a couple of Reiko’s…If nobody else needs them, I would try a couple out.

That is super kind of you to offer them to me…I really appreciate it.

Kind Regards,

meh they are what they are, no screaming hell imo, but definitely fun nonetheless i enjoy them, just need to work them some more to get the things i like to align with more frequency, like i said this last batch had/has its issues but still some fun plants to be found.

I may need a pointer or two…So far what I have got from this, is to cull the so-so ones, and keep the winners…I am also noticing most say to leave it in the original pot you start with? A beer cup would suffice?

@Kobracom420 for this last batch of seeds i made, yes its just that some undesirable phenos or traits carried over more so than i wanted because i wasn’t being as diligent as i should with pollen donors and mother plants. It was more pollen chunking than any breeding.

As for container size and such, you can transplant to bigger pots if you want it’s just needs to happen while they are still in “veg” mode persay to take the most advantage of said transplant, it’s really just doing it within the time before they switch over into worrying about bud production than them focusing on growing which is around week 4.5-5ish for those seeds.

The advice of planting them in their final container size is more that people over shoot their window to transplant, possibly cause a bit of damage slowing them down, and or that the small container sizes they use coupled to a less frequent watering style keeps them small and can stunt them, as hiccups at the start that may say delay them a week can and usually is detrimental to end yields.

So yeah you can run them in solo’s and i run in similar sized containers but you just need to be on top of watering, better suggestion is to go with 1-4+ Liter pots if one has the space to do so, and for these i would say that possibly 12 liter / 3 gal pots is the upper max container size or a bit more if the pot size is used for a buffer between waterings, just cause of the duration they take from start to finish, as a plant can only get so big within a limited time span. Saying that though i have never ran at those sizes personally.

Also my suggestion is just throw them into your veg area if you have space for them as they like the longer duration light hrs such as 18/6 or so.

Feel free to ask any questions, i’ll answer them if i can ;).

@anon95954822 and @Mr.Sparkle I was trying to figure out from fozzs old thread and yours what this broom like structure is… anybody got a pic?

@Meesh ill tag you in my thread with them, @TrevorLahey also has a mean example of one right now as well.

I personally transplant all of my autos and have yet to have a problem. I find watering easier that way. I also have my Da Green in a 3 gallon pot right now and it’s already 18 inches tall and filling out nicely. For some reason being outdoors I have found my seedlings have this certain window where they just slow way down in seed starter and just want soil to take off.

Right arm Sparkle…Thanks for the rundown. I will follow your directions.

I look forward to seeing Auto’s in action.
