Forum we are running on allows flagging of posts. This allows community to moderate itself without constant attention of staff users. You can use flags to notify staff (admin and moderator team) about off-topic, spam or other bad behaviour. All staff users can use admin panel to review the report and act accordingly (approve or disapprove post or user).
There are also cases in which flags work automatically. For example if enough regular members flag new user’s post, it is automatically hidden and offender’s account suspended. Suspended account can be unlocked only after moderator’s or admin’s intervention.
So this is really strong ability and I urge you too use it. Just use the Flag icon underneath the particular post.
Basic (trust level 1)
- can flag posts.
Regular (trust level 3)
- spam flags cast on TL0 /trust level 0/ user posts immediately hide the post
- flags cast on TL0 user posts in sufficient diversity will auto-block the user and hide all their posts
