The original version of “Mannish Boy” was recorded in Chicago on May 24, 1955, under the title “Manish Boy.” Accompanying Muddy Waters were Jimmy Rogers on guitar, Junior Wells on harmonica, Fred Below on drums, and an un-identified female chorus.

Chet Baker had a unique style and a sad end. Meth hollowed him out and during a bad deal got his front teeth knocked out. He still continued with help from his fellow musicians pretty much up to his departure of the Easth .
