I wish I were fluent in more than one language. I do pretty well with Spanish, but I’m better at reading it than speaking it. Everyone I meet from anywhere in Europe speaks multiple languages. Americans are so spoiled.

If you speak Spanish you have a leg up on learning French. They are similar enough to be helpful but also similar enough to be confusing.
I’m finding German to be an interesting challenge because it’s got some elements of English as well as the more Latinate languages, particularly in terms of gender and verb form.

It was. Rice with onions and cilantro. Beef soup. In ancho, I believe is the name of it sauce.
