These are my hashi and case. Iāve been using that set of sticks for more than 30 years. The case reads āRobinās hashi.ā

They are a dark wood. I donāt know what species.

Also, both sets (@breadwinnerās and mine) are Japanese sticks. Japanese sticks have pointy ends. Chinese (and Korean) sticks have blunt ends.

We used to have a really nice set of 8 made of ebony and mother of pearl from when My Dad was Stationed at Okinawa in the Late 40āsā¦ my dumbass brother took them to school to show off and they were stolen from his lockerā¦ that was early 1980āsā¦Hope whoever got them still have them and remember how they got them!
The ones we have now are just basic daily use cheapoāsā¦but have had them 6 years and are holding up very nicely!
