Nice hashi there. In a traditional Japanese household, those would be used in the fall.
These are my hashi and case. Iāve been using that set of sticks for more than 30 years. The case reads āRobinās hashi.ā

They are a dark wood. I donāt know what species.
Iām a cheap motherfucker. If it aināt broke, donāt fix (or replace) it.
Also, both sets (@breadwinnerās and mine) are Japanese sticks. Japanese sticks have pointy ends. Chinese (and Korean) sticks have blunt ends.

We used to have a really nice set of 8 made of ebony and mother of pearl from when My Dad was Stationed at Okinawa in the Late 40āsā¦ my dumbass brother took them to school to show off and they were stolen from his lockerā¦ that was early 1980āsā¦Hope whoever got them still have them and remember how they got them!
The ones we have now are just basic daily use cheapoāsā¦but have had them 6 years and are holding up very nicely!

Last nights supperāsimple burger of ground sirloin on a bakery-made Onion bunā¦topped with sharp cheddar and my ākiller olive sauceāā¦mayo, ketchup, chipotle, Olives, chipped dill pickles and crumbled Andrules cheeseā¦I often use blue or feta- but this is milder.
