reminds me of what was once my local bakery. they made an amazing loaf of “pretzel bread” that had no competition. absolutely my favorite. i’ve yet to find a good pretzel loaf. i would make it myself but can’t bake for shit.

Fresh picked cherry pie? Don’t tell anyone but I kinda have a kink for baking. Mom force taught me all the domestic stuff so no one would have to take care of me. Maybe she didn’t know these skills were gonna get me laid on a regular basis.

Looks like amanita muscaria. Supposed to be quite the high if you don’t eat too much. There’s a great scene in the movie Performance where “Old Rubber Lips” (Mick Jagger) and his two women feed James Fox’s character, Chaz, “…2/3 of the big one.” The scene depicting the aftermath of that consumption, the psychedelic visuals and his head space, are closer to any other depiction in any other movie that I’ve ever seen. It’s not a long scene with the table, but it is SO much like actually hallucinating. “I’ve never seen one like that before!” Psychedelic spiral

Spelt or another type of wheat? To me, nothing tastes more like a real pretzel than spelt.

Your mom and mine may have known each other. I had to learn how to properly iron a shirt, sew on a button or a patch, hand wash dishes, do basic cooking etc. Of course, it turned out that I love to cook.

Mine too and me too. I doubt it was a real consideration for my mom, but it has been very lucky indeed!

Now our wives seem to have similar “opinions.” Of course, I don’t do garment repair. HA!

hahaha. when i was young my mom was teaching me to sew, just the basics, and i made my dad a bag for his coins. when i gave it to him he was like “you made me a coin purse?” lol. hadn’t thought of that in a while.

Choc chip muffins

One of Mrs Herbs creations, choc chunk brownies with a cheesecake marble

Some peanut butter honey date balls. These take 5-10 min to make and are delicious. Mix a cup of peanut butter with a 1/4 cup of honey and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence till smooth. Then add 1 cup of dates/oats/sultanas whatever you like with 1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon and a pinch of salt, mix thoroughly then in the fridge for half hr and good to go :ok_hand:
