We are both here rec and medical but no home grow at all really no home grow the state wants it all

Lately the state is loosing medical patients
They don’t want to pay the fees even if the weed is slightly cheaper
And then people are in your business as well

Here in Michigan our laws and markets have went through great changes since it was established in 2008 with a patient/caregiver model via a vote.

In 2016 the state/legislature ventured into writing a version of medical cannabis laws on their own creating a facility licencing scheme while building a regulatory agency there in Lansing to run the show. Built off essentially the same facility scheme and players, a vote just 2 years later in 2018 gave us recreational cannabis as well.

Today rec is clearly winning here in Michigan. Our patient, caregiver and medical licences are just being discarded at a higher rate year after year.

Lume Cannabis Co., “The largest Single State Operator in the nation” has now given up on the medical market completely as they keep expanding into the rec market. How is that a good business decision to transition completely out of medical from their multiple cultivation locations to 38 retail stores across the state? So our patients are now being hooked with sales (6%) plus rec sin tax (10%) on their way out the door. That is just not right IMHO
