These guys are abundant where I live. Especially now as it’s getting colder they like to latch onto my screen door. I can only imagine trying to get some heat lol.

Interesting. I have seen them more and more often in the last few years, even though they are not endemic to Europe.

Yep! Those seemed to have showed up in our yard one year (box elder tree right by parking area), and have just gotten worse each year.

They are after the seeds of the box elder tree.
Being a tree surgeon I have seen millions of them.

you nailed it — they come from tree’s called BoxElder tree’s —know because have had many on property

They like to find somewhere warm to hibernate over winter this time of year.
