Who plays video games?

It’s just a 12600k. I also dropped some coin on tighter timings and b-die ddr4

“Just” a 12600k lol. Good choice, its what I was going to go with but I found a 12700k for $40 more so I said why not. And I went with ripjaws ddr4 for now, but at some point next year if the supply is fixed, I will be buying a liquid cooled z690 mobo and some ddr5 ram with better timings, but this year the ddr5 was out of the question lmao.

Im an old school gamer who started with a Commodore 64 and the Atari 2600. I still play PC but I gave up on consoles after the original X-Box/PS 2 days and went exclusively PC.

I play a wide range of games such as Dwarf Fortress, Caves of Qud, Kenshi, Battle Brothers, 7 Days to Die, Project Zomboid, Conan Exiles, Valheim, Elder Scrolls Unity version of Daggerfall, Elder Scrolls Skyrim, GTA V, and Battletech are on PC at the moment.

I also have the X3 space sim series(Reunion, Terran Conflict, Albion Prelude and Farnhams Legacy) on steam that I load up when I am in the mood for some spaceship action.

I had a hacked wii for years. It had a 2tb drive connected and could runn ALL emulators and ROMs.

My sister gifted me one of the Atari Flashback units and I’m in the process if hacking it too. It runs Android so you just have to use an ADB and some command like. No SD slot on this one which would grossly oversimply the process.

some guy like to play Fifa 22 on ps4?

Busted this bad girl out, shes chipped and i have about 60 burned games for her.

That brings back some memories! My buddy had a chipped one back in the day with a massive cd book full of games that he let me borrow, I think I mostly just played mgs1 lol

I used to have a gameshark-like device that plugs into the back, and you would have to put in an original game first (whichever) and then your burned game. My cousin had his chipped, way more convenient.

You can play old games online at the internet archive. Also if you do a search for “abandoned games” you can find multiple sites to download those old classics.

Its been a while since I played anything, and I never played a console after the PS1 (I did try, but my younger cousins would just beat me scrambled every single time while I was still trying to figure out wtf, it was pathetic).

Every now and then when I get high I will play a DOS emuator, SCUMvm, or look for new simple click and point PC games, tho.

Were games part of your life? are they still?

Grew up on Mario, had a N64, Super Nintendo, and GameCube.

2001 RuneScape came out and I played that for quite a while.

Then in 2003 Call of duty came out… Oh boy.
Been hooked on that game till this day.

Nintendo Switch was fun to buy. I’ll break it out sometimes when we have game nights or friends over. Smash Bros & Mario Kart are always fun on that.

Oculus Quest 2 is something I’ve been really looking at buying lately. VR is crazy!

I seen gorillas on a building so I automatically thought it was Rampage. Surprised they didn’t remake the game after “The Rock” stared in a movie based on it
