Doom. Duke nukem. Omicron the nomad soul, wow classic, all final fantasy series, Zelda, kingdom hearts was fun, cod, halo 1,2 and 3. 2 was best before modders. Need for speed, gta all of em. Tons of flight Sims. Many emulators out there now so choices are endless.

My favorite one as a kid was called “Robot Odyssey” but I could never make it past the sonic puzzle. I think the game teaches you electrical engineering or computer programming. ahh the 80s.

One of the first games I remember using my allowance to rent from the video store was an NES game called “Sid Meier’s Pirates!”. It was remade over the years across various platforms, but I still love the NES version the most.
A very close 2nd would have to go to Final Fantasy 2 on SNES. I always got confused over the numbering of the titles in this series, and still sometimes do when talking about the older titles. Final Fantasy 2 is actually Final Fantasy IV, and Final Fantasy 3 on SNES is actually Final Fantasy VI because Final Fantasy III is a totally different game in Japan that was never released in North America.

Not sure if this means anything to anyone else, but “muds” were my jam in the late 90’s/early 2000’s
They are multiuser text based domains. This, Dragonheart was my 10,000 hour game. Taught me how to type and lots about life. It was a great community.

Diablo is still a good game. Checkout Titan Quest it is another good game in the style of Diablo.

real ff 3 was released a while back on ds and phone/tablet. its on steam now too
it was mediocre as far as ff goes imo. 4 was better, 6 was better than that, and 9 is the goat

Such a good game I spent way too much time on it back in the day though haha.
And I really want the oculus but idk if I’ll play it enough to justify the purchase.
