Will this work?

It says it’s 99.99 silver but I read that coin silver may not be effective for reversal.

It may work, but why would you want to?

A 1 oz. silver dollar coin costs about $20-30. Why ruin it when you can just buy CS spray for $8.50?

Well because I had the coin already and it only cost me 2 bucks for the clip lol.

Understand.

Though not messing with the coin, it will retain it’s value (depending on Silver prices).

If it were me, I’d go with the spray. I like coins, though. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You need to cut the coin in half. You need 2 electrodes. Or use 2 coins spaced equally apart.

So I need to cut the coin in half and set the other half up just like this one? Then space them equally in the water?

Don’t look @Randar its about to get worse for this coin :joy:

One clip on each half

I was just about to say, I can’t take this anymore. I’m out.

If you’re not doing it for money and just for fun, maybe you should get some nitric acid and make silver nitrate? Apparently, the silver thiosulfate method is much more effective than colloidal silver in terms of blocking ethylene and producing feminized pollen.

I’m gonna look into it. I just had the coin lying around and was thinking of ways to preserve genetics without having to keep a crap ton of mothers around.

I have grown over 100 bubba kush s1’s and not one was close to the mother. Not one. What are your expectations regarding “preserving genetics”?

Do you find they lean towards the parents of the bubba? Anything better than the original bubba you reversed?

I haven’t found anything even close to the Bubba tbh. I have gotten lots of sweet and sativa looking phenos…nothing that really looks like the bubba. I have a couple keepers but kept just because they are (1) huge in comparison to the Bubba or (2) Crystal-coated phenos that by their looks put the Bubba to shame and (3) quicker (8 weeks vs 10) But miss the point when it comes to kick. Maybe you can get you mother tissue cultured and throw a culture in your fridge for storage?

keepers should be kept. Maybe share the mom with someone who can maintain the line till you want a copy back? :raised_hands: I hate losing keepers.

Thank you for the information! I just made some golden triangle s1 so we will see what emerges.

I sure won’t get rid of the mom though!

Back to the coin. I bought a dime for ten bucks, the other terminal does not need to be silver but you lose some silver that is attracted to it. I used stainless steel for the other terminal. Get yourself a laser pointer of some type. Once you can see the beam hitting the silver particles in the water stop. It does take a little while to get going at first but once there are enough ions in the water it will get easier to pass the current. I filtered mine with a coffee filter as you get bigger pieces that are clumped together. They do nothing to reverse the plant as the leaf can not absorb them.

This the thing. I had 20 GDP seeds and only had one female out of them all. I wanted to feminize it to have more chances at pheno hunting a good GDP mom. I have yet to flower the mom because I’m gonna take a clone first but I thought a good way to dig thru some GDP genetics would be to make fem seeds from the 1 mom I have. My thought process is that it gives me a chance to dig around and see what is in the different genetic expression I may get if I can get a couple hundred seeds out of her.
