I think that Gram/Watt idea sucks also…I believe a cultivar should be judged on its flower ability. I think a cut should be taken and at the first sign of root be put into flower or even (crazy) be flowering while rooting. OZ per plant would be respectful in the shortest time! Then potency comes in…i knew someone was gonna bring that up.

Gram per Watt per SqFT…time to get that Kilo

Sea of green is still by far the best way to grow but it turns you into a criminal right away!

I hope it’s ok for a little bit of show n tell ! … I just pulled down a nice crop and beat all my own personal records and figured it would good for this thread.

36 plants, 4 oz overall average per plant…canopy size 12’ x 6’9" … 12 LED light panels ( Solsheet X from Photon Solutions)…I run my panels with 320 drivers between 2 panels.( panels are rated to take up to 250 watts ) … less than 10 days of veg from a slip … 66 days of flower… 144 oz of primo nugget…under 2000 rated watts draw ( 320 x 6) …overall growth time from the clone tent to end of flower of 76 days ( 10 + 66) … I run a nice environmental controller and supplement CO2( natural gas ) up to 1000 PPM…I have over 25 years of growing experience just never with the type of technology I have now…its quite amazing whats out there now… my overall room size is 14 x 6’9" with a 7’ ceiling and a somewhat sloped floor with a floor drain… my end goal is to run 40 plants with a average of 4 oz per plant with under a 2000 watt rated draw… I am legal up to 49 plants and have crohns disease …I only grow one or two crops per year and I press it all into rosin…

1/4lbs per plant with how much veg from time of cut? 1/4lb per plant is respectable. What are you feeding them? Just curious…10lbs off 2000 watts?? Is my math right?

Guava Hash X C99 #3… ended up a 5OZ plant of primo nugget…Plant is 34" tall and takes up 15" x 15" at the top of the stakes… my ring ropes contain the plant and keep all the branches pointing upwards without any stress on the stems… super tasty and greasy and best of all its a record rosin producer…on a 14 gram press I got back 4.5 grams of rosin…and not only is there a pile of rosin the rosin is also super tasty…

Guava Hash X C99 # 6 …nasty strong smelling plant with crazy rosin production, over 30% return…4oz plant

here is how I trellis my plants… I tack each stake into the corner of the pot with a dab of hot glue, then I run my pruning wire like ropes on a boxing ring…for this picture I have used some white string for contrast… depending on the plant I may run 3 ring ropes and others only one,… this supports the plants amazingly well and still allows you to move them around the room and obviously its much easier to work on your plants…

hot glue in each corner

here is my AAA Purple Royale… 4OZ plant…super gorgeous Skunk berry scent…

Guava Hash x C99 #6 before I trimmed it up for the picture…

Seedsman SBG #1 … i used stakes that were too short and the plant fell over on me, i used 36" stakes and needed 48"…this plant produced 5OZ of primop nugget…

Killer harvest, wow! I run the guava 99 also but mine don’t chonk out like that haha. I can’t believe only 10 days veg also, thats a tight schedule for a haul like that.

Do you top them? Also do you do much pruning of lower branches or fan leaves?

Ive seen this top photo before on @Baudelaire light website is it his lights your using

Caging the plants in like that do you see a difference in production or density or is it purly for support and maintaining space constraints

Respect and those are some strong genetics…

It ended not in a gunshot but a murmurer

AAA Purple Royale… 4OZ plant…super gorgeous Skunk berry scent

that’s the kind of shit Id like a clone of…now your smoking and growing some great weed

No I don’t top them… this was from seed 100% unmolested… i do some grooming of the fan leaves… i treat each plant as a little 15" 15" chunk and groom so no light is wasted but at the same time no needless layers of leaves covering leaves…I do also cleanup the bottom branches right after the stretch… I am a believer that less is more, the less you molest the plants the better returns and quality of bud…

100%… I have tried everything under the sun in my years and in the end the less you molest the plants the better… this way of caging keeps the plants upright and stable and still allows for some natural movement… proof is in the pudding as they say… This way of containing plants makes them somewhat modular… the bigger pots take up 15" x 15" and the smaller pots are 12" x 12"…measured at the top of the stakes… because I have the plants roped in the entire plant fits that footprint… I groom the plants accordingly and make sure there is no excessive foliage down the center and at the same time make sure no light punches thru the canopy, all the light is captured

Makes sense I’ve seen similar caging and pruning on other plants to train them in shape and size

Hope you do a grow log would love to follow along from the start
