Well this will be a nice comparison of mainline vs manifold. Gpaw mentioned the mainline takes maybe a week longer for growth and training, since you need to top those nodes again to form 8 colas, but they will be more uniform, while the manifold will have 4 bigger colas and 4 slightly smaller. The plant is should yield basically the same, just the uniformity of the colas. Though that extra week of veg may bring yield in favor of the mainline… if that’s a thing in 16oz cups lol.
The thinner leaf Durban Poison (hereafter known as DP1) had six nodes, so I topped to the third node and removed the first and second nodes. The other one (DP2) should get a similar treatment in a day or two.
Chopped and spread. I super cropped the stems and bent them down Using paper clips like @SmknCanuck showed in his training thread
I accidentally deleted the before pic, here’s after
The freaks are out of the running, they’re healthy and growing fine but slowly, I’m just going to let them run wild for now
FOD and the cannarado plant are still contenders but only at 4th and 5th nodes, still some growing to do. FOD is looking nice, I’ll edit in a pic later
*Edited pic - FOD
Go grab some large paper clips and use them to bend the branches down.
That’s what mine looked like.
Ok good im not the only one lol @itza419
DP2 finally got to six nodes. I topped it to the third, and cleaned up the bottom two nodes. This one was more branchy and I got five cuts off of it.
While training DP1, I snapped off one of the nodes, guess that one is out. I tend to do that more often than not with this technique. Oh well, I guess I got a second cut off DP1.
Nice fat leaves
Beginning to think I am growing Cabbage. lol
Looking really good there Seamonkey those are going to be some little beast bushes…
Good luck to all its a fun thread to follow👍
