50 to 60 percent is a veg thing only
You dont want to mold and mildew your buds… or get bud rot going…

Plants are Alive
The manipulation is a necessary evil to fit in small spaces. The idea that cutting off produces more is over simpified. If the light doesn’t reach the lowers eliminating them may increase top size. Thats more of a light thing than a plant thing. If you cut off a branch the plant is 1 branch less. Thats a plant thing. Always want plant as healthy as possible b4 any of these stressors. Only you and your plant know how healthy your plant is. Sounds like shes just getting right. I’d wait and plan for extra veg time if you top. At minimum 2 weeks. Some folks veg 6-8 weeks consistently. Topping at 4th or 5th node is within first 2-3 weeks leaving plenty of time to recuperate. Learn to grow happy plants. Training will Never create happiness. It won’t make more either. The worlds biggest plants are vertical not horizontal. Maybe theres a 200g pot with a helluva trellis somewhere doing 5 lbs at less thn 5 ft. No comparison to the 15 ft ladder monsters.
Mainlining is hst and must take time. Its so eloquent though. Like plants that went to finishing school. Beautiful and proud.

PS I dont think folks should fool with trellises or autos either. Not in the beginning at least. Crawl, walk then run. Trellises look cool as hell though. Buds popping outta squares.

Best thing is to learn the plant and keep an open mind and read everything you can
There’s trade offs but in the long run the experience is what’s important
First learn the plants needs don’t be afraid to experiment but stick to basics
Environment, feeding schedule, air flow , all seems easy but not
It’s important to watch them grow and take notes

Decades ago left Georgia for a coupla weeks. Upon return there were little holes in my bag and 3/4 of thd unit was gone. Wtf. Opened the lid to pee and saw 3 dead rats in the toilet. The 3rd one tripped me out. Like those 2 fucked up but I’ll get it right. Did they get high and super thirsty? How’d they close the lid?
These were Georgia hood rats, Im sure your daughters is better behaved.
